The organic metal compound has a chemical structure represented by Formula (I) or Formula (II): wherein, Ris hydrogen, Calkyl, Calkoxy, amine, Calkenyl, Calkynyl, Ccycloalkyl, Cheteroaryl, or Caryl; R, R, R, and Rcan be hydrogen, halogen, Calkyl, Calkoxy, Cfluoroalkyl; Rand Rare independent and can be Calkyl, or phenyl; R, R, R, R, R, R, R, and Rcan be hydrogen, halogen, Calkyl, Cfluoroalkyl, or two adjacent groups of R, R, R, R, R, R, R, R, R, R, Rand Rare optionally combined with the carbon atoms which they are attached to, to form a cycloalkyl group, or aryl; m is 1 or 2; and, n is 0 or 1.

The organic compounds have a high triplet energy (tE) gap and apt to transmit the energy to a guest emitter.

An m-terphenyl derivative has a structure of formula (I) or (II): wherein A and B are five-membered heterocyclic compounds selected from the group consisting of pyrrole, pyrazole, imidazole, 1,2,3-triazole, 1,2,4-triazole, 1,2,3,4-tetrazole, 1,2-thiazole, 1,3-thiazole and 1,3,4-thiadiazole, each of substituents R, Rand Ris a member independently selected from the group consisting of H, halo, cyano, trifluoromethyl, amino, C-Calkyl, C-Calkenyl, C-Calkynyl, C-Ccycloalkyl, C-Ccycloalkenyl, C-Cheterocycloalkyl, C-Cheterocycloalkenyl, aryl and heteroaryl. The compound of the present invention may have advantages in good electron affinity, low HOMO and thereby achieving hole blocking and may be used for electron transport material and/or electron injection material.
