Systems, methods, and devices are disclosed for predicting creep behaviors of objects (vehicles, bicycles, pedestrians, etc.) at a location. An autonomous vehicle located at a first road segment connecting to an intersection having a stop sign can detect a first vehicle approaching the intersection from a second road segment connecting to the intersection. Using a model indicating an average creep point location specific to the second road segment connecting to the intersection, the autonomous vehicle can predict that the first vehicle will yield at the average creep point location that is specific to the second road segment.

Human-like autonomous vehicle behavior based on map prior layer

Systems, methods, and computer-readable media are provided for determining operator availability to provide remote assistance to an autonomous vehicle, determining which of a first plurality of routes will provide a positive ride experience based on the operator availability, and selecting a route of the first plurality of routes for a user based on the determining of which of the first plurality of routes will provide a positive ride experience.

Joint optimization of robotic vehicle routing for ride quality, safety, and operator demand

The present technology can detect potential labeling conflicts made during different labeling tasks when those tasks are checked in to ensure that a map database is free from conflicts that might interrupt publishing of a map. The present technology can determine whether a first labeled version of map portion is based on a most recent version for the map portion that is stored in the map database, and when it is determined that it is not, and there is an intervening version, the present technology can identify differences between the intervening version of the map portion and the first version of the map portion and identify differences between the second version of the map portion and the first version of the map portion. Based on the identified differences, the present technology can determine whether any of those differences are conflicting.

Difference merging for map portions

Techniques are disclosed for evaluating digital map quality. A process includes steps for receiving change data indicating one or more feature discrepancies associated with one or more geographic regions of a digital map, analyzing the change data to determine which of the one or more feature discrepancies resulted in verified updates to the digital map, and generating a quality score for each of the geographic map regions based on the verified updates. Map maintenance and verification

The subject disclosure relates to ways to improve route duration calculations e.g., estimated time of arrival (ETA) approximations, by taking consideration of reroute probabilities along a given vehicle path. In some aspects, the disclosed technology encompasses a process including steps for identifying a route between a first destination to a second destination, determining a reroute likelihood associated with at least one AV maneuver along the route, and calculating an estimated time of arrival (ETA) based on the reroute likelihood associated with at least one AV maneuver. The subject disclosure relates to ways to determine a data collection surveillance cadence. In some aspects, a process of the disclosed technology includes steps for receiving historic map data for one or more geographic regions, wherein each of the one or more geographic regions comprises one or more map features, calculating a change rate for each of the one or more map features, and determining a surveillance cadence for each of the one or more geographic regions based on the change rate for each of the one or more map features. Map surveillance system

The present technology pertains to visualization of maps used for autonomous vehicle applications. These maps include many layers of dense information. Each layer can be stored in a vector format and small portions, called tiles, of a map can be requested by a users web browser. The web browser can filter for desired layers and render all desired map layers at once to provide visualization of map and layers of interest.

Systems, methods, and devices are disclosed for mapping historical information about behaviors of objects (vehicles, bicycles, pedestrians, etc.) at a location. Based on the mapped historical information, a prediction is determined about a behavior of an object proximate to an autonomous vehicle at the location, where the prediction is based on a statistical analysis of the historical information that is applied to the object. One or more behaviors of the AV are affected based on the prediction.

Map prior layer

The present technology pertains to a task management system for map labeling tasks. The system can determine when one task is dependent on completion of another task and schedule those tasks accordingly. Further the system can ensure that tasks are completed with a proper priority and can track completion of these tasks. The present technology ensures sufficient work is completed to speed up map release versions.
