An illumination system including an excitation light source, a wavelength converting element, and a region-based light splitter is provided. The excitation light source provides an excitation beam. The wavelength converting element is disposed on a transmission path of the excitation beam to convert the excitation beam into an excited beam. The region-based light splitter is disposed on the transmission path of the excitation beam and includes at least one first region and at least one second region. The first region reflects the excitation beam and allows the excited beam to pass through. The second region allows the excitation beam and the excited beam to pass through. The excitation beam reflected by the region-based light splitter is transmitted toward the wavelength converting element. A projection apparatus including the illumination system is also provided.

Illumination system and projection apparatus

An illumination system and a projection apparatus are provided. The illumination system includes an excitation light source, a light guiding element, a filter module, an optical wavelength conversion module, and a homogenizing element. The light guiding element reflects an excitation beam coming from the excitation light source. The filter module includes a filtering region and receives the excitation beam reflected by the light guiding element. The optical wavelength conversion module includes a wavelength conversion region, receives the excitation beam reflected by the filtering region and reflects a conversion beam converted from the excitation beam. The conversion beam forms at least one color beam after passing through the filtering region of the filter module. The homogenizing element receives the excitation beam coming from the filter module and the at least one color beam. An incident angle of the excitation beam on the light guiding element is &#x3b8;, and &#x3b8;&#x3e;0&#xb0;.

Illumination system and projection device

An illumination system and a projection device are provided. The illumination system includes a laser light source, a light splitting element, a wavelength conversion module, a filter module, and a homogenizing element. The laser light source provides a laser beam to the light splitting element. The filter module rotates around a rotation axis and has multiple dichroic filter regions on a surface perpendicular to the rotation axis. The filter module receives the laser beam from the light splitting element, and an acute angle is formed between the rotation axis and a direction in which the laser beam enters the filter module. The homogenizing element is located on a transmission path of the laser beam penetrating the filter module, and the laser beam enters the homogenizing element along a long axis direction of the homogenizing element.

A homogenizing module and a projection apparatus are provided. The homogenizing module is configured to homogenize a beam and includes an anisotropic diffuser and a homogenizer. The anisotropic diffuser is located on a transmission path of the beam. The beam has a first divergence angle in a first direction and a second divergence angle in a second direction after passing through the anisotropic diffuser. The first divergence angle is greater than the second divergence angle. The homogenizer is located on a transmission path of the beam from the anisotropic diffuser, and the homogenizer includes multiple optical elements. The size of any of the multiple optical elements in the first direction is greater than the size thereof in the second direction. The first direction is perpendicular to the second direction.

Homogenizing module and projection apparatus

Provided is an illumination system for providing an illumination beam. The illumination system includes at least one light source, a movable reflective element, a lens element, and a light uniformizing element. The light source is configured to emit at least one beam. The beam is reflected by the movable reflective element, and then passes through the lens element and the light uniformizing element to form an illumination beam. An optical effective area of the beam on the lens element is configured to be larger than that of the beam on the movable reflective element by motion of the movable reflective element. The optical effective area is an area of a union of each beam that irradiates the lens element or the movable reflective element at different times. A projection device is also provided. The illumination system and projection device provide a uniformized illumination beam and improve the projection effect.

An illumination system for providing an illumination light beam is provided, which includes a light-source module, a scattering element and a light uniforming element. The light-source module emits an illumination light beam. The scattering element is between the light-source module and the light uniforming element, and has multiple scattering areas with different haze values. A haze value of a first scattering area that is close to a center of the scattering element is greater than a haze value of a second scattering area that is remote from the center. A projection device is also provided. A scattering element of the invention has multiple scattering areas with different haze values, and a haze value of one that is close to a center of the scattering element is greater than a haze value of the other that is remote from the center, thereby increasing light energy utilization.

Illumination system with scattering element and projection device

A projection apparatus includes an illumination system configured to output an illumination beam, a light valve and a projection lens. The illumination system includes a laser light source configured to emit a laser beam and a wavelength conversion element. A first region of the wavelength conversion element includes at least one first and second optical function region. In a first sub-time interval, the first optical functional region guides the laser beam to a first position with a first optical path, wherein the light valve is located at the first position. In the second sub-time interval, the second optical functional region guides the laser beam to a second position with a second optical path, wherein the second position is different from the first position. The projection apparatus of the present invention has good image quality.

Projection apparatus including an illumination system, a light valve and a projection lens

A projection apparatus and an illumination system that includes an excitation light source, a beam filter module, a wavelength conversion module and a homogenizing element are provided. The beam filter module includes a light effective region and is disposed on a transmission path of an excitation beam. The wavelength conversion module includes a wavelength conversion region and is disposed on a transmission path of the excitation beam reflected by the light effective region. The wavelength conversion region converts the excitation beam into a conversion beam. The conversion beam from the wavelength conversion module passes through the light effective region and then forms at least one color light. An optical axis of the excitation beam incident on the light effective region and a normal line of the light effective region are respectively not parallel to a central axis of the homogenizing element.

Projection apparatus and illumination system

An illumination system includes a light source, a wavelength conversion element and a light guide column. The light source provides an excitation beam. The wavelength conversion element has a wavelength conversion portion for converting the excitation beam into a converted beam. The light guide column is disposed between the light source and the wavelength conversion element and located on a transmission path of the excitation beam. The light guide column has a first end, a second end opposite to the first end, a third end and a fourth end opposite to the third end. The third and fourth ends respectively face the light source and the wavelength conversion element. The third end receives the excitation beam. The excitation beam exits the first or fourth end, and the converted beam enters the light guide column through the fourth end and exits the first end. A projection device is also provided.

An illumination system, including a light source, a reflective optical element, a polarization conversion element, a beam splitting element, and a homogenizing element, is provided. The light source provides a first light beam having a first polarization state and a second light beam having a second polarization state. The reflective optical element is disposed on a transmission path of the first light beam and the second light beam. The polarization conversion element is disposed between the light source and the reflective optical element. The beam splitting element is disposed between the light source and the polarization conversion element. The beam splitting element includes at least one first region and at least one second region. The homogenizing element is disposed on a transmission path of a light beam reflected by the beam splitting element. A projection device having the illumination system is also provided.

An illumination system and a projection apparatus are provided. The illumination system includes a coherent light source, an optical module, and a first light-diffusing device. The coherent light source emits a coherent light beam. The optical module and the first light-diffusing device are located on a transmission path of the coherent light beam. The optical module has an optical surface and a light-diffusing surface, and the coherent light beam focuses on a first position through the optical surface of the optical module. The first light-diffusing device is located at the first position or in vicinity of the first position. The coherent light beam passes through the first light-diffusing device so that a diffusion angle of the coherent light beam is sequentially changed. A display frame exhibiting a uniform luminance is thereby provided by the illumination system and the projection apparatus of the invention.

The disclosure provides an illumination system and a projection device applying the illumination system. The illumination system includes a laser light source, a wavelength conversion module, and a spot region modulation module configured to shift a transmission path of a laser beam. When the wavelength conversion module rotates, the spot region modulation module moves, in a first period of time, the laser beam in a wavelength conversion region of the wavelength conversion module along a first shift path, so that the laser beam forms a first spot region in an irradiation region in the wavelength conversion region. The spot region modulation module causes, in a second period of time, the laser beam to form a second spot region in an irradiation region in a non-conversion region of the wavelength conversion module. A size of the first spot region is greater than a size of the second spot region.

A light source module includes a light source, first and second lens elements, a reflector, and a first diffuser. The light source emits a beam focused by the first lens element on a first focal point. The reflector is disposed on a beam transmission path. The first lens element is between the light source and the reflector. The first diffuser is between the first lens element and the reflector and includes a first diffusion plate and a first drive mechanism. The first diffusion plate is at/near the first focal point. The beam is transmitted to the reflector by the first diffusion plate. The first drive mechanism is between the first diffusion plate and the first lens element, and moves/rotates the first diffusion plate. The second lens element has a second focal point, coinciding with the first focal point, at a light-incident side. The reflector is at the light-incident side.

Light source module

An illumination system is configured to provide an illumination beam. The illumination system includes at least one light source, a composite unit and an actuator. The at least one light source is configured to provide at least one light beam. The composite unit includes a diffusion surface and an optical surface opposite to each other, wherein the composite unit is disposed on a transmission path of the at least one light beam and configured to enable the at least one light beam to pass through. The actuator is connected to the composite unit for driving the composite unit to move along at least one direction, and the at least one direction is perpendicular to a normal direction of a plane on which the composite unit is located. A projection apparatus including the illumination system is also provided.

An illumination system and a projection device, including a light emitting module, a light uniforming element, and a beam splitting/combining module, are provided. The light emitting module includes red and blue light elements. The light uniforming element has an optical axis and a light entrance surface. The beam splitting/combining module is disposed on a transmission path of at least one blue light beam, is located between the light emitting module and the light uniforming element, and includes at least one beam splitting element and at least one reflective element. At least one among the red and the blue light beams is reflected by the reflective element and the beam splitting element. The red and blue light beams are transmitted to the light uniforming element in a direction parallel to the optical axis, and a speckle distribution on the light entrance surface is symmetrical with respect to the optical axis.
