A system includes a downhole acquisition tool housing that may receive a fluid that enters the downhole acquisition tool from a first flowline, a second flowline, or both. The system includes a flow control device removably coupled to the downhole acquisition tool. The flow control device may include a housing, a plurality of flow routing plugs that may be in fluid communication to the first flowline, the second flowline, or both, and channels disposed within the housing and fluidly coupled to the plurality of flow routing plugs.

Under the operating conditions of the second environment, the pump can also be calibrated to determine a performance characteristics of the pump at the operating conditions of the second environment. The calibrated pump assembly is then used to draw fluid from a subterranean formation or conduct a formation test.

Two or more pistons engage a cam track such that rotation of the cam causes the pistons to reciprocate between first and second piston positions. Flowline pressure equalizer systems, methods and/or apparatuses for use on a downhole tool are provided. A pressure equalizer may be provided in communication with two flowlines. The pressure equalizer may use equalizing chambers and equalizing pistons to regulate pressure in one or both flowlines. Further, one or more flow routing modules may be interchangeable to further alter the flow scheme between the flowlines. Different plugs may house various flow routing configurations such that the plugs may be installed and/or removed in the tool string automatically or by a user.

An apparatus, a method and a system control fluid flow through a passageway. A downhole tool pumping apparatus may have a body and an active valve block. The body has a cavity housing a reciprocating piston defining first and second chambers within the cavity. The active valve block has active valves configured to be actively actuated between an open position and the closed position. Two or more hydraulic lines may be connected to each active valve for controlling actuating between the open position and the closed position. A piston having a conduit is slidably disposed through the passageway and selectively closes the conduit of the piston by moving at least one of the piston and a plug.

A probe for establishing fluid communication between a downhole tool and a subterranean formation. The downhole tool is positioned in a wellbore penetrating the subterranean formation. The probe includes a platform operatively connected to the downhole tool, at least one packer operatively connected to the platform, the packer having at least one hole extending therethrough and at least one embedded member disposed in the packer for enhancing the operation of the packer as it is pressed against the wellbore wall.

Example motor cooling radiators for use in downhole environments are disclosed. A disclosed example radiator comprises a cylindrical housing having an annular passageway. The housing defines an inlet at a first end of the housing and an outlet at a second opposite end of the housing. A channel is arranged within the annular passageway of the housing along a spiral path to transport the first liquid and to define a spiral flow passageway between the inlet and the outlet for the second liquid. In operation, the first liquid does not contact the second liquid and heat is transferred between the first and second liquids as the second liquid flows in the spiral passageway.
