An electrical device includes a main body and a detachable storage module. The main body includes a first data storage unit and is operable in plural storing modes. The detachable storage module includes a second data storage unit. When the detachable storage module is connected with the main body, the detachable storage module provides electric power to the main body and the user may select one of the plural storing modes. According to the selected storing mode, the controlling unit of the main body determines whether the data is stored in the first data storage unit or the second data storage unit. By the detachable storage module, the electrical device is more user-friendly.

A photo sharing system with a face recognition function includes a photo browser and a photo sharing platform. The photo browser allows a user to browse plural photos, and includes a user interface that shows the plural photos; a photo classification module that is activated to automatically classify the plural photos into groups according to face images contained in the plural photos and identified by the face recognition function while showing the groups of photos on the user interface for selection; and a photo transmission module that is activated to automatically pack and transmit a selected one of the groups of photos to a photo sharing platform in the cloud. The photo sharing platform includes a photo file management module that manages at least a photo folder that stores the selected group of photos.

An account creating and authenticating method is provided. Firstly, an account is created according to a face image included in a photo. A password corresponding to the face image is also generated by a service system. During an account authenticating method, an image pickup device is used to shoot a face of a login person on the spot. If the service system judges that the shot face image of the login person on the spot complies with a predetermined face image corresponding to an existing account, the login person is allowed to login into the service system and the password is displayed. In a case that the image pickup device is provided, the service system may be authenticated by inputting the password. The method of the present can simplify the process of creating and authenticating the account.

A photo sharing system with a face recognition function is provided. The photo sharing system includes a photo browser and a photo sharing platform. The photo browser has a photo classification module for classifying plural photos according to face image contained in the plural photos, thereby generating a photo classification message. The photo classification message contains the photos having the face image of the same person. Moreover, the photo classification message may be transmitted to the photo sharing platform at the same time to be shared to the receiver corresponding to face image. By the photo sharing system, the efficacy of sharing photos will be enhanced.

The method includes shooting a specific scene to generate a base image; selecting a bright area and a dark area from the base image; determining base luminance according to the base image; shooting the specific scene to generate at least a first image, wherein average luminance of a part of the first image corresponding to the bright area of the base image is less than or equal to the base luminance; shooting the specific scene to generate at least a second image, wherein average luminance of a part of the second image corresponding to the dark area of the base image is greater than or equal to the base luminance; and combining at least the first image and the second image into a high dynamic range image corresponding to the specific scene.

A method of capturing an image of a document is provided. First, a notebook computer having a base is provided, wherein an image pickup device is disposed on the notebook computer, and a symbol mark is formed on the base of the notebook computer. Next, a document fixer having a fixer middle mark is provided. The document is fixed by the document fixer, wherein a centerline of a long edge of the document is aligned with the fixer middle mark. Next, the document fixer is moved according to a size of the document until the fixer middle mark is aligned with the symbol mark. After the image of the document is captured, an image processing procedure is performed. By aligning the fixer middle mark with the symbol mark of the notebook computer, the document is precisely positioned and thus a sharp image with no tilted distortion is acquired.

A document fixer includes a supporting plate and a fixer body. The supporting plate includes a business card fixing recess and a clamping part. The fixer body includes a first supporting plate receiving part, an ordinary document fixing recess and a second supporting plate receiving part. When the supporting plate is received in the first supporting plate receiving part, the document fixer is adapted to fix a business card. Whereas, when the supporting plate is received in the second supporting plate receiving part, the document fixer is adapted to fix an ordinary document.

The first fastening slice body includes a first surface, a first upper periphery and a first concave part. The first concave part is downwardly extended from the first upper periphery. The first surface has an area greater than the second surface. The first upper periphery is aligned with the second upper periphery. An external lens device is mounted in front of a lens of an image pickup device. The external lens device includes a fixer and an external lens. The fixer includes a fixing slot and an alignment slice. The alignment slice includes a first reference mark and a second reference mark. The first reference mark is enclosed by the second reference mark. The first reference mark is arranged in the middle portion of the second reference mark. After the fixer is placed in front of the image pickup device, an outer portion of the second reference mark of the alignment slice is parallel with the lens fastening part of the lens of the image pickup device, the first reference mark is aligned with a center of the lens of the image pickup device, and the second reference mark is concentric with a lens fastening part of the lens.

A method for verifying areas within an image corresponding to monetary banknotes includes: dividing the image into a plurality of verification sections; generating a banknote boundary map having border sections corresponding to boundaries of valid monetary banknotes; generating a texture decision map from the image having texture sections each having texture values within a valid range according to a valid monetary banknote, determining objects in the texture decision map by removing texture sections in the texture decision map corresponding to border sections in the banknote boundary map; calculating a texture property value for objects according to texture feature values for each verification section; calculating shape property values for each object; and further removing texture sections from the texture decision map corresponding to objects that do not have the texture property value within a first predetermined range and the shape property value within a second predetermined range.
