An organic light emitting diode display is provided. The organic light emitting diode display comprises an organic light emitting diode panel, a quarter-wavelength retarder disposed on the organic light emitting diode panel, a polarizer disposed on the quarter-wavelength retarder, an adhesive layer disposed on the polarizer and a diffraction grating film adhered to the polarizer by the adhesive layer. The diffraction grating film comprises a substrate and a first diffraction grating layer comprising a plurality of first gratings aligned with a first direction disposed on the substrate.

Organic light emitting diode display

An optical film for a cover plate of a flexible display, which is disposed on the display side of the flexible display, is disclosed. The optical film sequentially includes an optical substrate layer adjacent to the flexible display, a first adhesive layer, a polarizing layer, a second adhesive layer and a surface functional film which is disposed on the folding side of the flexible display. The optical film having excellent bending resistance and recovery property can be obtained by adjusting the ratio of the integrated bending modulus of the optical substrate layer, the polarizing layer, and the surface functional film to the total thickness of the optical film.

Optical film

An optical film includes a first diffraction layer, a second diffraction layer, and a cover layer. The first diffraction layer includes a plurality of first diffraction gratings arranged in a direction on a surface thereof. The second diffraction layer is filled in the gap of the first diffraction gratings of the first diffraction layer and forms a plurality of second diffraction gratings arranged in a direction on the first diffraction layer, wherein the directions of the first diffraction gratings and the second diffraction gratings are parallel to each other. The cover layer fills and planarizes the second diffraction gratings of the second diffraction layer. The optical film can reduce the light leakage defect of a conventional liquid crystal display in a wide viewing angle and make the liquid crystal display have a uniform dark-state image and color image quality.

An optical film includes a first diffraction layer, a second diffraction layer, and a cover layer. The first diffraction layer includes a plurality of first diffraction gratings arranged in the same direction on a surface thereof. The second diffraction layer includes a plurality of second diffraction gratings arranged in the same direction gap-filled the first diffraction gratings of the first diffraction layer, wherein the directions of the first diffraction gratings and the second diffraction gratings are parallel to each other. The cover layer is formed on the second diffraction gratings of the second diffraction layer. At least one of the first diffraction layer, the second diffraction layer and the cover layer contains dyes, and therefore, the optical film can reduce the light leakage defect of a conventional liquid crystal display in a large viewing angles and make the liquid crystal display have uniform dark-state images and colorful images.

Optical film for liquid crystal display

A light redirecting film in a sandwich-laminated structure is provided. The light redirecting film comprises a first layer, a second layer; and an intermediate layer sandwiched between the first layer and the second layer. The intermediate layer includes a first grating surface having a plurality of first gratings extending in a first grating direction and a second grating surface opposite to the first grating surface having a plurality of second gratings extending in a second grating direction, wherein the first grating direction and the second grating direction cross each other at an angle of 90&#xb0;&#xb1;10&#xb0;, and the first grating surface and the second grating surface of the intermediate layer are gap-filled and planarized with the first layer and the second layer respectively to generate the light redirecting film.

Light redirecting film

A light redirecting film and a method for manufacturing the same are provided. The light redirecting film comprises a substrate, a first diffraction grating layer of a first curable resin on the substrate and a second diffraction grating layer of a second curable resin on the first diffraction grating layer. Wherein the grating directions of the first diffraction grating layer and the second diffraction grating layer cross each other at an angle of 90&#xb1;10&#xb0;, and the difference of the refractive index of the first curable resin and the second curable resin is no less than 0.1 and no more than 0.3.

Light redirecting film and method for manufacturing the same

The invention provides an optical film for improving image quality of a liquid crystal display comprising: a light directing structure layer, a first filling layer, a plurality of first diffraction gratings and a second filling layer. The light directing structure layer comprises a plurality of light directing micro structures, wherein the ratio of height to width of each light directing micro structure is in the range of 1.5 to 6. The first filling layer is disposed on the light directing structure layer, and the refractive index of the first filling layer and the light directing structure layer are different. The first diffraction gratings along with a first direction are formed on the first filling layer. The second filling layer is disposed on the first diffraction gratings and the refractive index of the second filling layer and the first diffraction gratings are different.

A polarizer for the display side of a liquid crystal display is provided. The polarizer comprises a polarizing layer, a light collimation layer and a quantum dot diffraction layer. The polarizing layer has a light incident surface and a light exiting surface. The light collimation layer is disposed on the light exiting surface of the polarizing layer. The quantum dot diffraction layer is disposed on the light collimating layer on the opposite side of the polarizing layer, and comprises a diffraction microstructure layer disposed on the light collimation layer, and a quantum dot planarization layer which fills and planarizes the diffraction microstructure layer and can be divided into a plurality of pixel regions.

Polarizer

Disclosed herein is a quantum rod backlight module for a liquid crystal display. The quantum rod backlight module includes a quantum rod layer disposing at one side of a backlight source and comprising a plurality of quantum rods, wherein the major axes of the plurality of quantum rods are aligned along a direction parallel to a surface of the quantum rod layer; a first micro-prism layer including a plurality of first parallel strip-shape prisms, and a second micro-prism layer including a plurality of second parallel strip-shape prisms, wherein both of the alignment directions of the first parallel strip-shape prisms and the second parallel strip-shape prisms are perpendicular to the direction of the major axes of the plurality of quantum rods, and the retardations of the first micro-prism layer and the second micro-prism layer are zero.

Quantum rod backlight module

Disclosed herein is a polarizer for LCD. The polarizer includes a polarizing layer, a quantum rods layer comprising a plurality of quantum rods, a first protective layer and a second protective layer, wherein major axis of the quantum rods is aligned in a direction perpendicular to the absorption axis of the polarizing layer. Accordingly, the incident unpolarized light emitted from the backlight unit can be transferred to be polarized light by the quantum rods layer and pass through the polarizing layer directly for enhancing the utility of the backlight.

An optical compensation film for a liquid crystal display is provided and comprises a liquid crystal layer which is disposed on a substrate and has a plurality of first stripe-structure regions with a first thickness and a plurality of second stripe-structure regions with a second thickness, wherein each of the second stripe-structure regions is contiguous to at least one of the first stripe-structure region and the second thickness is greater than the first thickness. The method for manufacturing the optical compensation film is provided.

Disclosed is a patterned retarder film which comprises a substrate, a patterned configuration layer and a liquid crystal layer. The patterned configuration layer includes a plurality of first regions and a plurality of second regions A liquid crystal layer is disposed on the patterned configuration layer, wherein liquid crystal molecules above the first regions is arranged irregularly because of the protrusions, the liquid crystal molecules above the second regions are aligned with the aligning micro-structures. The liquid crystal layer in above the first regions provides a first phase retardation, the liquid crystal layer above the second regions provides a second phase retardation, and the difference between the first phase retardation and the second phase retardation is 180&#xb0;. The method for manufacturing the same is disclosed.

Patterned retarder film and method for manufacturing the same

A patterned phase retardation film is disclosed, which includes substrate, a phase retardation layer on the substrate comprising a plurality of first regions of liquid crystal materials and a plurality of second regions of curable resin, wherein the first regions and the second regions are in a grating stripe structure which is parallel and interleaved with each other the top part of the second regions is formed with at least one inclined plane; and a planarization layer for planarizing the phase retardation layer; wherein the first regions provide a first phase retardation and second regions provide a second phase retardation, the first phase retardation and the second phase retardation have a phase difference of 180&#xb0;.
