A wireless communications device includes a radio frequency (RF) module and a baseband chip. The baseband chip is configured to initiate a mobile originated (MO) call through the RF module with a first subscriber identity card when the RF module is occupied by performing a packet switched (PS) data service with a second subscriber identity card, arbitrate a first protocol stack handler to suspend or terminate the PS data service associated with the second subscriber identity card in response to initiating the MO call associated with the first subscriber identity card, and arbitrate a second protocol stack handler to make the MO call associated with the first subscriber identity card when the PS data service associated with the second subscriber identity card is suspended or terminated.

Apparatuses and methods for coordinating operations between circuit switched (CS) and packet switched (PS) services with different subscriber identity cards, and machine-readable storage medium

A wireless communications device is provided with a Baseband chip capable of coordinating operations between circuit switched (CS) and packet switched (PS) services with different subscriber identity cards. The Baseband chip is configured to receive a request for making a mobile originated (MO) call with a first subscriber identity card when performing a background PS data service with a second subscriber identity card. The Baseband chip suspends or terminates the background PS data service in response to the request, and further makes the MO call with the first subscriber identity card when the background PS data service is suspended or terminated.

A method for handling data transmission by a mobile station with a first RF module and second RF module is provided. The mobile station is coupled to a computer acquiring an IP address IP(U). A packet with a source IP address IP(U) and a destination IP address IP(Y) corresponding to an access network is received by the mobile station. The first RF module is assigned to transmit the received packet by replacing the source IP address IP(U) with a source IP address IP(A). Another packet with the source IP address IP(U) and destination IP address IP(Y) is assigned to the second RF module, and the source IP address IP(U) is replaced by a source IP address IP(B). A system for handling packet-switched data transmission is provided. The system includes a first RF module, a second RF module, a first subscriber identity card camping on a cell via the first RF module, a second subscriber identity card camping on the same cell or a different cell via the second RF module and a load balancing unit. The load balancing unit receives an uplink IP packet, determines one subscriber identity card from the first and second subscriber identity cards when the uplink IP packet comprises information regarding an unestablished connection of a recognized application, and transmits the uplink IP packet to a destination via the determined subscriber identity card and the RF module corresponding to the determined subscriber identity card.

The invention discloses a method for coordinating protocol stack entities to share a single radio resource, executed by a processor of a mobile station, including the step of: after a first protocol stack entity for a first subscriber identity card enters a TALKING mode or enables a dial-up service, forcing a second protocol stack entity for a second subscriber identity card to release the radio resource or suspend utilization of the radio resource, and enabling the radio resource to be utilized to perform requisite operations or procedures of the TALKING mode or the dial-up service.

A communication apparatus is provided. A first subscriber identity card camps on a first cell belonging to a first wireless network via at least one radio transceiver module. A second subscriber identity card camps on a second cell belonging to a second wireless network via the radio transceiver module. A memory device stores information indicating at least one discount period of the first wireless network and at least one discount period of the second wireless network. A processor receives an apparatus originated communication request with a destination address, determines whether a current time falls within the discount period of the first wireless network or the discount period of the second wireless network, and establishes a wireless communication with a peer device of the received destination address through one of the first cell or the second cell in response to the fallen discount period.

A method for sharing a mobility status in a mobile station with a first subscriber identity card and a second subscriber identity card is provided. The mobility status indicating the movement extent of the mobile station is obtained by the first subscriber identity card being currently camping on a first cell of a first network operator. Settings corresponding to a mobility-dependent procedure for the second subscriber identity card being currently failure to camp on any second cell of a second network operator are configured, thereby enabling the mobility-dependent procedure to be performed with consideration of the obtained mobility status.
