A cable distribution box includes a base plate, a proximal wall extending from a first side of the base plate, a distal wall extending from a second side of the base plate, a latch formed on a third side of the base plate, and a cover plate extending from the proximal wall. The latch is configured to secure the cable distribution box to a chassis. The cover plate has a center portion that projects towards the base plate, such that the center portion is configured to wrap a cable thereon. The cover plate is foldable along a length of the proximal wall, relative to the base plate in a clamshell fashion, to enclose the wrapped cable between the cover plate and the base plate. The cover plate includes a locking mechanism that is configured to engage the distal wall, and secure the cover plate onto the base plate.

Fiber optic distribution box

An apparatus simulates cable routing for determining signal integrity between electronic components within a computer chassis. The apparatus includes a base plate simulating a computer chassis base. The base plate includes a top surface. The apparatus further includes a plurality of reconfigurable mounting fixtures, each allowing temporary mounting of a printed circuit board assembly (PCBA) to a respective reconfigurable mounting fixture. Each of the plurality of reconfigurable mounting fixtures is temporarily mountable anywhere on the top surface of the base plate. The apparatus further includes a cable having a first end connector that allows a connection to a first PCBA, and a second end connector that allows a connection to a second PCBA.

System and method for simulating cable routing between electronic components within a computer chassis

A connector clip is disclosed. The connector clip includes a base, a cover, a hinge coupling the cover and the base, and a fastener. The base has a first base side joined to a second base side via a connecting base side. The cover has a first cover side joined to a second cover side via a connecting cover side. The fastener holds the first base side and the first cover side in a fixed position when the connector clip is in a closed configuration in which the connecting base side is parallel to the connecting cover side. An internal cable opening is formed in part by the connecting base side and the connecting cover side when the connector clip is in the closed configuration. The connector clip secures a cable passing through the internal cable opening and connected to a board in its place in the closed configuration.

Connector clip

A computing system is provided. The computing system includes a semi-flexible printed circuit board assembly (PCBA) with a first element and a second element. The first element is configured to move in a non-planar direction with respect to the second element. The computing system also includes an internal trace connecting the first element and the second element of the semi-flexible PCBA. The computing system also includes a support mechanism, which is configured to constrain relative movements between the first element with respect to the second element of the semi-flexible PCBA.

Bending fixture and support components for a semi-flexible printed circuit board assembly

A fixture and method are directed to releasably couple the fixture to a semi-flexible printed circuit board (PCB)/printed circuit board assembly (PCBA) at a flexible PCB/PCBA portion. The fixture includes a body with a first arm and a second arm extending from a base, an interior surface of the first arm facing an interior surface of the second arm. A first ridge extends from the interior surface of the first arm and defines a first gap between the first ridge and the interior surface of the second arm. The first gap is sized to receive and support a flexible PCB/PCBA portion. At least one second ridge extends from the interior surface of the first arm and defines a second gap between the at least one second ridge and the interior surface of the second arm. The second gap is sized to receive and support a rigid PCB/PCBA portion.

Protection fixture

The present disclosure is directed to a 2.5-inch storage device carrier suitable for accommodating different thicknesses of 2.5-inch storage devices. A rotatable storage device holding element is provided with multiple bearing surfaces of differing heights to come into contact with storage devices of different thicknesses and securely hold the storage device within the storage carrier.

Adjustable storage device carrier

Latch mechanism having a latch slide having a receiving portion and configured to couple a component with a server chassis. A latch ramp disposed on the latch slide at a first end of the receiving portion, a release ramp disposed on the latch slide at a second end of the receiving portion, and a biasing element biasing the latch slide in a latched position. The latch ramp configured to draw the pin into the receiving portion and the release ramp configured to draw the pin away from the receiving portion. When the latch slide transitions to the latched position, the pin is received in the receiving portion and engages the latch ramp, thereby sliding the latch slide and compressing the biasing element. When the latch slide transitions to the unlatched position, the biasing member is compressed causing the pin to engage the release ramp and translate the component.

Component quick release latch assembly

Server rack assembly having a chassis and two or more power supply units configured to be received within the chassis. Each power supply unit configured to be coupled with a power distribution unit by a power cord and having an aperture formed on a front surface to receive the power cord. A chassis channel formed within the chassis to receive each power cord extending substantially the length of the chassis. Each of the two or more power supply units can be independently removable from the chassis.

A server assembly having a housing and a tray mounted in the housing are provided. The tray had a top surface and a front surface, and an open position in which the top surface of the tray is accessible and a closed position in which the top surface of the tray is inaccessible. A first set of chip connections in the top surface can vertically removably receive at least one first storage device. The front surface of the tray can define at least one opening below the top surface configured to horizontally removably receive at least one second storage device. The first set of chip connections electronically couple the at least one first storage device with the server assembly and are inaccessible when the tray is in the closed position, and the openings are accessible regardless of whether the tray is in the open or closed position.

Component carrier having a chassis, a first component sled engaged with and receivable into the chassis, a fan module mounted at the front of the first component sled, and a second component sled engaged with and receivable into the chassis above the first component sled and rearward of the fan module. The first and second component sled each transitionable between an extended position and a withdrawn position. The extended position having the respective component sled at least partially outside of the chassis and the withdrawn position having the respective component sled substantially received into the chassis. Transition of the first component sled from the withdrawn to the extended position moves the fan module from the chassis but does not move the second component sled while transition of the second component sled from the withdrawn position to the extended position moves the first component sled to the extended position.

Serviceable fan sled in a component carrier

A tray assembly configured for carrying a storage device is provided. The tray assembly includes a carrier, a base frame, a handle and a connecting rod. The carrier carries the storage device. The base frame slidably connects with the carrier, allowing the carrier to slide between a first position and a second position relative to the base frame. The base frame includes a locking part and the handle pivots to the base frame. Two ends of the connecting rod respectively pivot to the carrier and the handle. When the handle rotates relative to the base frame and drives the carrier to slide to the first position, the carrier is carried on the base frame and the handle locks up with the locking part. When the handle rotates relative to the base frame and drives the carrier to slide to the second position, the carrier tilts relative to the base frame.

Tray assembly

A novel integrated computer includes a support base, a computer component pivotally coupled to the support base, and a display component slidably coupled to the computer component. The pivotal connection between the support base and the computer component facilitates adjustment of the tilt of the display. The slidable connection between the computer component and the display component facilitates height adjustment of the display, without affecting the tilt of the display. A biasing member prevents unwanted movement of the display, while allowing adjustment of the display. A method for manufacturing the integrated computer is also disclosed.

A computer housing () is disclosed, that uses a camming action to move a latch (). The latch () is movable between at least two positions&#x2014;a latching position and an unlatching position. Moving the latch () to its unlatching position causes the latch () to engage and move one or more latching members or snaps () that detachably engage a bezel (). Once the latching members or snaps () have been sufficiently moved, the bezel () may be moved away from the remainder of the computer housing (). Reattaching the bezel () to the computer housing () automatically moves the latch () back to its latching position.
