A data transfer system is disclosed, which comprises a serial controller and a switch device. The switch device includes a first serial port, a second serial port, and a transferring unit. The first serial port and the second serial port are individually configured to transmit a first type signal to the transferring unit. The transferring unit selectively switches a transmission of the first type signal from either the first serial port or the second serial port to the serial controller. The first serial port and the second serial port are individually configured to transmit a second type signal to the serial controller, wherein the first type signal is faster than the second type signal in transmission rate.

Data transfer system and method of controlling the same

A reader apparatus comprises a first interface module, a second interface module, a storing module and a processor. The first interface module includes a plurality of terminals that are transferring first interface signals. The second interface module includes a plurality of conducting pads which are transferring a second interface signal. The storing module is for storing data. The processor converts storing signals generated by the storing module to the first interface signals or the second interface signals.

Reader apparatus

A card reader includes a hollow base provided with a USB standard metal casing at one side, and an electric module mounted in the USB standard metal casing and the hollow base and defining with the USB standard metal casing an electronic card receiving space for accommodating an electric card such that the accommodated electronic card is insertable with the USB standard metal casing into a USB port of an electronic apparatus for two-way data transfer (reading or storing) between the electronic card and the electronic apparatus.
