A vertical alignment polyimide for LCD has the following structure: wherein Rand Rare same or different tetravalent aromatic residues or alkyl residues; n is an integer, and 24&#x2267;n&#x2267;6; a:b=1:9 to 9:1, preferably from 4:1 to 1:1; and a+b=p+q. The polyimide has an inherent viscosity of 0.04&#x2013;5 dl/g.

Vertical alignment polyimide and vertical alignment film compositions for LCD

The present invention provides a kind of liquid crystal aligning film composition used for liquid crystal display (LCD), in which the liquid crystal aligning film composition used for LCD is a polyimide resin oligomer (A) having the structural formula (I) as shown in the following: wherein m is an interger of 1, 2, and 3, R is selected one of from aromatic and cyclicaliphatic, X is selected from the group containing amide, ester, and ether etc., Y is the group of containing cholesterol structure; this polyimide resin oligomer (A) and the second reagent (B) are mixed together, through an induced process (C), to produce a thin film for aligning liquid crystal molecule.

Solvent soluble polyimide and a method for making thereof

A diamine-containing polyamic acid alignment layer material provided by the polymerization of aromatic diamine and dianhydride, and having an excellent coating, adhesion and stability. After the polyamic acid alignment layer material is coated and cured at a high temperature, a polyamic acid alignment layer having a pretilt angle of below 2 degrees is formed due to a close ring reaction. The polyamic acid alignment layer with a low pretilt angle can be used in a TN (twisted nematic) type liquid crystal display.

An alkaline-solution-developable liquid image-producing composition useful as a permanent protective layer for printed circuit boards is disclosed comprising at least: (1) an acrylic copolymer with hyroxy group, carboxyl group and branched unsaturated carbon double bond. Its number average molecular weight is 3,000 to 10,000 and its acid value is at least 30 mg KOH/g; (2) a photo reactive monomer with hydroxy group, the number of the unsaturated carbon double bond functional groups should be not less than 2; (3) a melamine compound; and (4) a free radical photo initiator.

Alkalline-solution-developable liquid photographic composition

A photosensitive composition which is suitable for free radical polymerization systems initiated by ultraviolet light, particularly useful in UV-curing coating and image transfer systems such as printing plates and photoresists. Among the above mentioned applications, systems in which the photosensitive layer has no protective film to insulate it from the air shows the greatest improvement in photosensitivity.
