A hard disk drive includes at least one magnetic disk and a motor assembly. The motor assembly is configured to rotatably support the magnetic disk(s) and circumferentially rotate the magnetic disk(s) about an axis of rotation during operations of the hard disk drive. The motor assembly includes at least one rotational balancing spring pin. Each rotational balancing spring pin is configured to reduce a rotating unbalance of the motor assembly.

A hard disk drive includes a base deck with a floor portion and a side wall portion. The floor portion extends between an upper surface and a bottom surface, and the side wall portion extends from the floor portion. A top cover is coupled to the base deck and includes a ceiling portion and a wall portion. The hard disk drive includes a weld that directly couples the wall portion of the top cover to the floor portion of the base deck.

A hard disc drive includes a base deck, a cover welded to the base deck, and a voice coil motor. The voice coil motor includes a first voice coil motor assembly and a second voice coil motor assembly. Either one or both of the first and second voice coil motor assemblies can be welded to the base deck.
