A navigation method for a medical operation and implemented by a robotic system is provided. The method includes the steps of: receiving, at a processor of the robotic system, at least one set of navigation data; receiving or generating at least one three-dimensional model of the virtual object in the navigation data; calculating the navigation data to generate a virtual environment and at least one navigation instruction; and presenting, at a user interface associated with the robotic system, the virtual environment and/or the navigation instruction to a user of the robotic system for the user to refer to during the medical operation.

Navigation system and method for medical operation by a robotic system using a tool

A surgery assistive system includes an instrument having a tool and a manipulator connected to the tool, a spatial sensor system for detecting spatial information of the tool, and a computer system for manipulating a kinematic state of the manipulator. A method for obtaining surface information by the surgery assistive system includes the steps of: defining a target region and a plurality of reference points on a virtual anatomical model of a subject; prompting a user to generate sampling information by using the instrument to sample a plurality of sampling points on the subject corresponding to the reference points; and designating the sampling information as surface information of the sampling points. Each piece of the sampling information includes a coordinate of one of the sampling points, an angle of a contact of the tool at the sampling point, and parameters associated with the contact.

Surgery assistive system and method for obtaining surface information thereof

A calibration device for a computer-assisted surgical instrument includes a rigid body, stabilization members, and references structurally or mechanically complementary to the stabilization members and disposed on opposite sides of a manipulator of the instrument. Kinematic state of the manipulator is defaulted when the calibration device is connected to the instrument by the stabilization members passing through the rigid body and removably attaching to the references. A calibration method for a computer-assisted surgical instrument implemented by a computer system includes the steps of: prompting a user to connect the calibration device to the instrument; determining if the calibration device is properly connected to the instrument; and generating default kinematic information of the manipulator of the instrument if the calibration device is properly connected to the instrument. The calibration device and method effectively improve accuracy and precision of computer-assisted surgeries.

Calibration device and calibration method for surgical instrument

A multi-color off-axis digital holographic system and the imaging method thereof are disclosed. The multi-color off-axis digital holographic system comprises: a plurality of light emitting diodes, for provide a red (R) beam, a green (G) beam and a blue (B) beam; an interference object lens module, for receiving the R, G, and B beams to generate a beam containing an interference signal; a color imaging device, for receiving the beam containing the interference signal and thus forming a hologram on a surface of the color imaging device by holographic interference while registering the hologram; and a processing device, for receiving the registered hologram form the color imaging device; wherein the processing device perform a zero-filling and reconstructing operations upon the received hologram to obtain phase information of the R, G and B beams. With the aforesaid system, a three-dimensional surface profile with respect to a RG synthetic wavelength is obtained according to a calculation using the phase information of the R and G beams as well as the wavelengths thereof, and similarly, a three-dimensional surface profile with respect to a GB synthetic wavelength is obtained according to a calculation using the phase information of the G and B beams as well as the wavelengths thereof. Thereafter, by performing a calculation using the RG synthetic wavelength and its phase as well as the GB synthetic wavelength and its phase, an overall three-dimensional surface profile with respect to a complete synthetic wavelength is obtained.

Multi-color off-axis digital holographic system and the imaging method thereof

A light-emitting diode (LED) chip having a micro-lens structure includes a light-emitting structure and a light guide lens. The light-emitting structure emits a light from a light-emitting surface upon being applied with a current, and the light guide lens is stacked on the light-emitting surface and used for emitting the light from a light guide surface of the light guide lens. The light guide surface has an annular ridge portion and a scatter region, such that the lights close to the central optical axis of the light-emitting surface (the region having the maximum light-emitting intensity) are deflected in a direction away from the central optical axis, and the lights far away from the central optical axis are deflected towards the central optical axis, so as to obtain a light with a uniform overall optical intensity.

A lens and an LED using the lens to achieve homogeneous illumination include a region. The region around the optical axis of a lens is designed to be concave and form a divergent surface. The upper surface of the lens is a continuous curved surface to diverge the high-intensity light emitted by the LED in the vicinity of the optical axis through refractions. Therefore, the LED can homogeneously illuminate a larger area.
