A receiver for an LCD source driver of an LCD panel includes a converter, a comparing circuit and a decoding circuit. The converter converts two pairs of differential current signals into two pairs of differential voltage signals. The comparing circuit is coupled to the converter for generating reference signals based on differences between the two pairs of differential voltage signals. The decoding circuit is coupled to the comparing circuit for generating data signals, clock signal, setting signals, and control signals based the reference signals.

Receiver for an LCD source driver

A signal transmission system of a flat panel device includes an encoder, a transmitter, a receiver, and a decoder. The encoder converts a digital signal to a switch control signal. The transmitter includes 4n signal-lines for transmitting a current signal according to the switch control signal. The receiver includes 4n terminations, a plurality of terminal resistors, and a plurality of comparators. The receiver generates a group of voltage levels according to the current signal. Each comparator is coupled between any two terminations so as to generate a group of voltage differences. The decoder converts the group of voltage differences to the digital signal.

Signal transmission system of a flat panel device

A scaling apparatus set in a receiver is disclosed. The receiver includes a symbol-processing unit. The scaling apparatus includes a calculating unit and a scaling unit. The calculating unit estimates the signal strength of an input symbol and generates a scaling factor accordingly. The scaling unit scales an output symbol outputted from the symbol-processing unit according to the scaling factor. The output symbol is generated from the symbol-processing unit through processing the input symbol.

The method includes receiving a multi-carrier signal, wherein the multi-carrier signal comprises a plurality of sub-carriers. Channel characteristics of each sub-carrier are estimated according to the demodulated multi-carrier signal. ICI is estimated from the demodulated multi-carrier signal. A system performance is detected. The estimated ICI is subtracted when the ICI exceeds an ICI threshold and the system performance is less than a system performance threshold. The demodulated multi-carrier signal is then equalized is based on the estimated channel characteristics, and the system performance is updated according to the equalized multi-carrier signal.

A control method for eliminating deficient display and a display device using the same and a driving circuit are provided herein. The display device includes a display panel, source driver, and a control device. The display panel includes a plurality of pixels. The source driver is used to provide a pixel voltage to the pixel. The control device determines whether to provide a first voltage to the pixels, and controls the source driver whether to provide the pixel voltage to the pixel, according to a control signal. When a system voltage of the display device is less than a predefined voltage, the control device controls the source driver to stop providing the pixel voltage to the pixel, and provides a first voltage to the pixel.

Control method for eliminating deficient display and a display device using the same and driving circuit using the same

A transmission device includes a first encoder, a plurality of current sources, a switch module, a second encoder, and a plurality of current enhanced circuits. The first encoder converts an input signal to a first control signal. The switch module is coupled between the plurality of current sources and a plurality of signal lines for controlling the connection of the current sources and the signal lines according to the first control signal to generate a current signal. The second encoder generates a second control signal according to the first control signal or the input signal. The plurality of current enhanced circuits is coupled to the plurality of current sources respectively. The plurality of current enhanced circuits provides an extra current in a predetermined duration to enhance the current signal.

A signal processing apparatus is provided. The signal processing apparatus includes an inner-code decoder, an outer-code decoder, and an error detection unit. The inner-code decoder decodes an input data stream to generate a first output data stream, wherein the input data stream is coded using a concatenated coding scheme including an outer coding and an inner coding. The present invention provides a transmission signal generating method for a display device to compensate channel effect. The transmission signal generating method includes using a plurality of signal amplitudes and a first signal direction to generate a plurality of positive levels, using the plurality of signal amplitudes and a second signal direction to generate a plurality of negative levels, and using a plurality of signaling lines for transmission of the pluralities of negative and positive levels. A first positive level and a first negative level both have a minimum signal amplitude of the plurality of signal amplitudes. The amplitude difference of the first positive and negative levels is greater than an amplitude difference of any two neighboring levels of the plurality of negative levels and also the plurality of positive levels.

In order to mitigate electromagnetic interference (EMI), the present invention provides a circuit device for an electronic device including a signal generating unit, a phase adjusting unit and an output interface. The signal generating unit generates a plurality of in-phase signals. The phase adjusting unit is coupled to the signal generating unit and is used for adjusting the plurality of in-phase signals to generate a plurality of output signals, where all or some of the output signals have different phases. The output interface is coupled to the phase adjusting unit and is used for outputting the plurality of output signals to a plurality of signal processing units for image processing.

A data synchronization method for a transmitter of a display device includes utilizing a plurality of first signaling line sets to couple the transmitter and a plurality of receivers in a dedicated type manner, transmitting a synchronization signal to the plurality of receivers according to a transistor-to-transistor logic signal form, transmitting a synchronization start-up signal to the plurality of receivers via the plurality of first signaling line sets a first time later after the synchronization signal is transmitted, and then transmitting a data signal to the plurality of receivers via the plurality of first signaling line sets a second time later after the synchronization start-up signal is transmitted. The synchronization signal has a longer effective time than the synchronization start-up signal.

A panel display apparatus and a method for driving the display panel are provided. The panel display apparatus includes a display panel and a plurality of source drivers. The display panel with X*Y display unit includes X+1 data lines, and each source driver has M+1 data output terminals DO. In addition, each of the data output terminals of the source drivers is electrically coupled to a corresponding data line of the display panel, respectively. The mentioned DOrepresents the jdata output terminal of the isource driver. Wherein, the data output terminal DOand the data output terminal DOare electrically coupled to a same data line of the display panel.

A multi-path receiving system is provided. The multi-path receiving system includes a multi-path analyzer, a channel estimator and an equalizer. The multi-path analyzer analyzes a channel impulse response (CIR) of the multi-path channel from the received stream. The base-band receiver generates the error values and error locations according to the received syndromes, and then outputs the error values and error locations to the backend system.

A method of generating a smoothed transport stream to an MPEG decoder for a diversity combine digital television receiver includes generating a plurality of synchronization clocks and demodulated signals according to a plurality of digital television signals received from a plurality of antennas; monitoring a signal quality associated with each of the digital television signals; combining at least demodulated signals having a signal quality being greater than a predetermined threshold to thereby form a combined signal; generating transport stream packets according to the combined signal; selecting a synchronization signal corresponding to a digital television signal having a signal quality being greater than a second predetermined threshold as a selected synchronization signal; and generating a smoothed transport stream having packets being uniformly spaced according to the transport stream packets and the selected synchronization signal.
