A back-light module for an image scanning device includes a casing, a pair of tubular lamps, a light guide plate, and a frosted transparent plate. The image scanning device includes a document supporting plate and an optical scanning module movable in a longitudinal direction. A calibration of illumination with the back-light module is done by (1) activating the back-light module to project light onto the optical scanning module, (2) driving the optical scanning module in the longitudinal direction, (3) obtaining illumination signals associated with selected pixels of a longitudinally-extending calibration zone formed on the document supporting plate, (4) comparing each illumination signal with a reference to obtain a result and manipulating the result to obtain a calibration parameter, and (5) calibrating the illumination of pixels of an image with the corresponding calibration parameters in scanning a transmissive original document.

The present invention provides a liquid crystal display device to protect device users from EMI coming from the liquid crystal display panel. The liquid crystal display device of the present invention comprises: a first substrate, wherein the substrate has a black matrix; a second substrate; a liquid crystal layer between the first substrate and the second substrate; and a first electro-magnetic interference shield layer on the first substrate, wherein the position of the first electro-magnetic interference shield layer corresponds to the position of the black matrix.

Liquid crystal display device

A plane light source structure for planar display includes a light guide plate and a light source. Material of the light guide plate is transparent plastic. The light guide plate is regarded as the lower plate of LCD panel when it is used as back light. On the other hand, the light guide plate is regarded as the upper plate of LCD panel when it is used as front light.

A light source module comprises a lamp cover, a lamp and at least a conductive wire. The lamp is fitted into the lamp cover. The conductive wire connects the lamp cover and the lamp to a ground. The conductive wire is wound around the lamp and the conductive wire has two ends connected to the lamp cover. The lamp cover includes at least a heat conductive plate connected with the conductive wire. The lamp cover, and the lamp are electrically connected to the ground through the conductive wire, so the capacitance there-between can be eliminated to improve the illumination performance of the light source module.

Light source module

A backlight module, suitable for supplying a plane light source. The backlight module has a light guide plate, a reflection mask and a light compensator. The light source is disposed next to a side surface of the light guide plate, such that the light generated thereby is incident on the side surface of the light guide plate, transmitted through the bottom surface, and projecting from the top surface of the light guide plate. The reflection mask is disposed next to the sidewall of the light guide plate to cover the light source. The light compensator is disposed in the reflection mask. By disposing the light compensator with multiple reflection planes in the reflection mask or forming multiple reflection surfaces of the reflection mask, the brightness at the two comers of the light guide plate near the two sides of the light source can be compensated.

Backlight module

A backlight module. The backlight module comprises a first frame, a cover, a lamp, a light guide plate, and a second frame. The cover comprises a hinge and a fastener. The cover is connected to the first frame by the hinge. The lamp is disposed in an opening formed by the first frame and the cover. The light guide plate is disposed near the lamp to guide light therefrom. The second frame is disposed on the back of the light guide plate. The second frame comprises a connection port receiving the fastener.

A touch panel is provided. The touch panel includes a first flexible substrate with a first surface, a second substrate with a second surface facing the first surface, and a masking structure with a first contacting surface and a second contacting surface respectively adjacent to an edge portion of the first flexible substrate and an edge portion of the second substrate. The second contacting surface is wider than the first contacting surface.

A back light module is provided. The back light module comprises a light-guiding plate, a side light source and a bottom light source. The side light source is positioned on one side facing a side surface of the light-guiding plate. The bottom light source is positioned on a bottom surface of the light-guiding plate. Light from the side light source and the bottom light source both emerge from a top surface of the light-guiding plate. The side light source and the bottom light source together provide a bright surface light source that illuminates a liquid crystal display to produce a better display effect. In addition, this invention also provides e liquid crystal display comprising a transmissive or transflective liquid crystal display panel and the aforementioned back light module.

An assembly structure for flat panel display includes a housing with a skid structure therein to fit the flat panel display, a connector with a male portion and a female portion mounted on the flat panel display and a system mainboard on the housing respectively.

A structure of an illumination apparatus is described. The structure has a light guide rod arranged at one lateral side of a light guide plate, and plural light sources located below the light guide rod. The light guide rod has at least one tilt plane formed thereon in order to guide the light emitted from the light sources to the light guide plate such that uniform planar light could be generated therefrom. A plurality of notches is formed in the tilt plane, and a plurality of depressed or protruding dispersion dots is formed on an out-going plane of the light guide rod. The structure further includes an anti-reflection layer positioned between the light guide rod and the light guide plate.

A back light module disposed under a display panel has at least a light source generator for generating light beams, a diffusing plate for scattering the light beams to the display panel, a light guide plate (LGP) for scattering the light beams to the diffusing plate, a reflecting sheet for scattering the light beams to the light guide plate. The reflecting sheet has at least an opening for dissipating heat generated by the operation of the light source generator of the back light module.
