A touch pad and a sensing module thereof are provided. The sensing module defines an annular signal channel along a thickness direction. The sensing module includes a grounding layer and an electrode layer located at one side of the grounding layer. The electrode layer includes a plurality of first electrodes, a plurality of second electrodes, and a plurality of metal pads that are spaced apart from the first electrodes and the second electrodes. The first electrodes are arranged in rows parallel to each other, the second electrodes are arranged in columns parallel to each other, and at least one of the rows and at least one of the columns are arranged across the annular signal channel that is provided without any metal pad therein. A projection space defined by orthogonally projecting the grounding layer along the thickness direction is overlapped with the first electrodes and the second electrodes.

Touch pad and sensing module thereof

A circuit carrier includes a substrate, a capacitive electrode layer, a plurality of metal pads and a plurality of bridges, and a plurality of conductive pillars. The capacitive electrode layer formed on a surface of the substrate and includes a plurality of first electrodes and a plurality of second electrodes. At least two of the first electrodes are connected to each other and be arranged across a die-bonding region of the substrate for separating at least two of the second electrodes that partially protrude from the die-bonding region to respectively form extensions. The metal pads and the bridges are formed on another surface of the substrate and are located outside of the die-bonding region. Each of the bridges connects two of the metal pads, and each of the conductive pillars is embedded in the substrate and connects one of the extensions and a corresponding one of metal pads.

Circuit carrier

A capacitive touchpad is provided, which includes a substrate module, a plurality of sensing electrodes, a plurality of driving electrodes and a plurality of light-emitting diode (LED) dies. The plurality of sensing electrodes and the plurality of driving electrodes form a touch sensing region of the capacitive touchpad, and the touch sensing region is divided into a plurality of sensing units having same areas. Each of the LED dies is arranged in two adjacent ones of the plurality of sensing units, and a position of each of the LED dies corresponds to one of the plurality of driving electrodes, and the LED dies are electrically isolated from the plurality of sensing electrodes and the plurality of driving electrodes.

Capacitive touchpad with LED die positioned to correspond with electrode

A key unit and a keyboard using the same are provided. The key unit includes a circuit board, a supporting assembly, a keycap, and a floating conductive structure. The circuit board includes a capacitance sensing circuit embedded therein, and the capacitance sensing circuit includes a pair of sensor electrodes which are spaced apart from each other. The supporting assembly is disposed on the circuit board. The keycap is moveably disposed above and spaced apart from the circuit board. The supporting assembly disposed between the keycap and the circuit board allows the keycap to be moved between a non-depressed position and a depressed position with respect to the circuit board. The floating conductive structure is disposed on the supporting assembly, and an orthogonal projection of the floating conductive structure on the circuit board overlaps with the pair of sensor electrodes.

Key unit

A pressure sensing unit is provided. The pressure sensing unit includes a membrane and a pressure sensing pad group. The membrane has a first surface and a second surface. The pressure sensing pad group includes a first pressure sensing pad, a second pressure sensing pad, and a ground pad that are spaced apart from one another. The ground pad and one among the first pressure sensing pad and the second pressure sensing pad are located at the first surface of the membrane, another one among the first pressure sensing pad and the second pressure sensing pad is located at the second surface of the membrane, and an orthographic projection of the ground pad projected onto a reference plane is located between orthographic projections of the first pressure sensing pad and the second pressure sensing pad that are projected onto the reference plane. Therefore, a signal-to-noise ratio can be increased and an erroneous detection can be prevented.

Input device including improved pressure sensing unit design

A pressure sensing unit, a capacitive hybrid sensor device, and an input apparatus using the same are provided. The pressure sensing unit for detecting pressing events includes a pressure sensing pad group and a floating conductive element. The pressure sensing pad group includes a first pressure sensing pad, a second pressure sensing pad, and a ground pad that are spaced apart from one another. The first and second pressure sensing pads are electrically shielded from each other by the ground pad. One among the floating conductive element and the pressure sensing pad group is configured to be movable in a movement direction relative to another one among the floating conductive element and the pressure sensing pad group. The floating conductive element overlaps with the pressure sensing pad group in the movement direction. Therefore, a signal-to-noise ratio can be increased and an erroneous detection can be prevented.

A touch sensor and a keyboard using the same are provided. The touch sensor includes a plurality of main sensor structures and a plurality of resilient structures. Any two adjacent ones of the main sensor structures have a gap therebetween. Each of the resilient structures is connected between two adjacent ones of the main sensor structures, and each of the resilient structures has a cross-sectional width that is less than a width of the gap.

Touch sensor and keyboard using the same

A key unit and a keyboard using the same are provided. The key unit includes a circuit board, an elastic element, a keycap, and a processing circuit. The circuit board includes a capacitance sensing circuit embedded therein, and the capacitance sensing circuit includes a pair of sensor electrodes. The elastic element is disposed on the circuit board. The keycap is moveably disposed above and spaced apart from the circuit board. The elastic element is disposed between the keycap and the circuit board so that the keycap moves between a non-depressed position and a depressed position with respect to the circuit board. The processing circuit is electrically connected to the pair of sensor electrodes to obtain a variation of a coupling capacitance between the pair of sensor electrodes and to determine whether the keycap is touched or depressed according to the variation of coupling capacitance.

Key unit and keyboard using the same

A wearable electronic device with a function of detecting a wearing state, comprising: at least one electrode; a capacitance calculating circuit, coupled to the electrode, configured to calculate a capacitance variation generated by at least one of the electrode; and a wearing state determining circuit, coupled to the capacitance calculating circuit, configured to determine the wearing state according to the capacitance variation. By this way, the wearing state can be auto detected and the wearable electronic device can be correspondingly control according to the wearing state.

Electronic device capable of detecting wearing state or touching state

A capacitive touch system including a drive end, a capacitive touch sensing device and a detection end is provided. The drive end inputs a modulated drive signal into an input channel of the capacitive sensing device, wherein the modulated drive signal includes a plurality of driving frequencies. The detection end detects a detection signal of an output channel of the capacitive sensing device and generates a two-dimensional detection vector corresponding to each of the driving frequencies. The capacitive touch system includes a touch panel or a touch keyboard.

Touch keyboard having low noise interference

A compensation method for an induced amount in a touch sensor and a touch panel thereof are provided. The compensation method uses a fake finger circuit to simulate the situations when a user touches the sensing nodes of the touch sensor with a finger, and obtains the gain coefficient of each of the sensing nodes, which are used to compensate for the induced capacitance generated by the sensing nodes as a result of being touched by an external object. In this way, the extra effects caused by the difference in basic capacitance can be eliminated by the gain coefficient.

Compensation method for an induced amount in a touch sensor and touch panel thereof

A capacitive touch control device includes a plurality of switching assemblies for being respectively connected to transmitting wires that connect a capacitive electrode layer. Each of the switching assemblies includes a switch, a touch drive circuit, and an antenna circuit, the latter two of which are installed to the switch. Each of the switches is provided for being connected to the corresponding transmitting wire, and is configured to be in a touch mode by electrically coupling to the touch drive circuit or in an antenna mode by electrically coupling to the antenna circuit. When the switches are in the touch mode, the switching assemblies enable the capacitive electrode layer to provide a capacitive touch function. When at least one of the switches is in the antenna mode, the corresponding switching assembly enables the capacitive electrode layer to provide an antenna function.

Capacitive touch control device, electricity charging controller, and electricity charged controller

A driver integrated circuit (IC) includes: a built-in capacitor, a reading circuit, an analog-to-digital converter (ADC) and a coupling circuit, wherein the reading circuit receives a sensing signal from a touch panel and outputs an analog sensing data; the ADC is coupled to the reading circuit, and is used to receive and convert the analog sensing data to a digital sensing data; and the coupling circuit is coupled to the reading circuit, and is used to selectively couple the built-in capacitor to the touch panel when the driver IC operates in a touch sensing mode.

Driver integrated circuit of touch panel and associated driving method

A touch unit array including a plurality of first strip electrodes, a plurality of second strip electrodes, and a plurality of electrode pad units is provided. Each first strip electrode has at least one first opening. The second strip electrodes are orthogonally arranged to the plurality of first strip electrodes. Each electrode pad unit includes at least one electrode pad, and the electrode pads are respectively disposed in the plurality of first openings, wherein each electrode pad unit receives a first driving signal.
