Provided herein are systems, methods and apparatuses for an eyelet interference screw and affixation of an implant to tissue employing the eyelet interference screw.

Eyelet interference screw and methods of use

A bone fastener driver assembly with a bone fastener retention feature has an outer sleeve, a handle fixed to said outer sleeve and an inner shaft. The inner shaft has a distal end with a torque driving tip. The inner shaft is coupled to the handle and axially movable relative to the outer sleeve from a proximal disengaged position to a distal engaged position. The outer sleeve has a bone fastener retaining distal end configured to lock into an internal groove or undercut of a bone fastener screw head when the inner shaft is axially moved from the proximal disengaged position to the distal engaged position to lock the bone fastener to the driver and upon a return movement of the inner shaft to the proximal disengaged position to unlock and release the driver from the bone fastener screw head.

Bone fastener and driver with retaining features

A plate assembly for engaging at least two vertebral bodies of a human spine along the anterior aspect of the spine has a plate and at least two cam locks. The plate has a lower surface for contacting the vertebral bodies and an upper surface opposite to said lower surface. The plate assembly has a plurality of bone fastener receiving holes extending through said plate assembly from said upper surface to said lower surface. The plate has at least a first pair and second pair of said bone fastener receiving holes. The first pair is associated with a first of the vertebral bodies. The second pair is associated with a second of the vertebral bodies. A recess is associated with each of said at least first pair and second pair of said bone fastener receiving holes.

An expandable interbody fusion implant device has a frame, two ramp assemblies, a threaded drive shaft and at least one base plate, preferably two. The frame has a first lateral side and a second lateral side and a distal end and a proximal end. Each ramp assembly has a translating ramp with a threaded opening, a first pivoting hinged ramp and a second pivoting hinged ramp. Each base plate is hinged to a first lateral side of the frame. Each base plate is hinged to the distal ramp assembly and the proximal ramp assembly at an end of one of said pivoting hinged ramps of each ramp assembly. The drive shaft has a distal drive shaft component having threads for translating the distal ramp assembly and a proximal drive shaft component having threads for translating the proximal ramp assembly.

Intervertebral implant device with lordotic expansion

An expandable interbody fusion implant device has a frame, two ramp assemblies and two overlying base plates driven by two independent drive shafts. The two ramp assemblies include a distal ramp assembly and a proximal ramp assembly. Each ramp assembly has a translating ramp, a first pivoting hinged ramp and a second pivoting hinged ramp. The two overlying base plates include a first base plate overlying a second base plate. Each base plate is hinged to the distal ramp assembly and the proximal ramp assembly at an end of one of said pivoting hinged ramps of each ramp assembly. The two independently driven drive shafts include a first drive shaft for translating the distal ramp assembly and a second drive shaft for translating the proximal ramp assembly to independently expand the implant proximally or distally or both.
