Methods and systems are provided for operating an evaporative emissions system in a turbocharged engine. In one example, a method may include pulsing open a canister purge valve responsive to the turbocharged engine entering a boosted mode of operation. The canister purge valve may be opened for a duration long enough to close a check valve coupled between the canister purge valve and an intake of the engine.

Systems and methods for managing purge pathway pressure in turbocharged engines

An assembly which includes primary and secondary hydrocarbon material reception and storage devices in a cascaded and communicative relationship. Particularly, the device receives and stores hydrocarbon emissions which emanate from the device . Device further includes a filter through which purging air is communicated to the devices . Further, device includes a condensation removal portion which allows condensation to be vented from the device and a selectively closeable vent portion which allows the device and the assembly to be periodically tested.
