An arrangement for mounting holiday decorations on a smooth surface of a support includes a mounting element that has a bifurcated first end portion forming a first channel for receiving a portion of a garland, and a bifurcated second end portion forming a second channel for receiving a portion of a greeting card. The mounting arrangement further includes a suction cup component constructed to suctionally adhere to the smooth support surface, with the mounting element being connected with the suction cup component.

Seasonal decoration mounting arrangement

A decorative lighting arrangement includes a support, especially a stake driven into the ground, and a lighting fixture including a socket and a light bulb mounted in the socket. A coupling connects the lighting fixture to the support so that the light bulb and at least a predominant portion of the socket are disposed upwardly of an upper region of the support to be visible thereat.

Multipurpose coupling for connecting decorations to a stake

An arrangement for mounting decorative lights on a variety of external building structures, including roof shingles, soffits, vinyl or metal gutters or the like, includes a mounting member having a support portion including at least one substantially cylindrical confining portion for receiving a portion of the respective decorative light. The mounting member further includes a mounting portion including a central portion extending substantially along the same plane as the support portion, and a pair of angled lateral portions flanking the central portion and extending out of the plane and back to it as considered in a direction away from the support portion. The central portion and the pair of lateral portions are operative for engaging oppositely facing surfaces of the respective building structure to at least frictionally detain the mounting member and, thus, the decorative light in place on the building structure. The lateral portions may be provided with teeth that either dig into the roof shingle or soffit, or engage behind a ledge or a rear protuberance of a gutter, depending on the type of structure on which the mounting arrangement is mounted. The central portion may include a serrated detent that projects out of the plane of the central portion towards the support portion and into engagement with either the roof shingle, or a front protuberance of a metal gutter.

Universal decoration mounting arrangement

An arrangement for mounting decorative items on cylindrical supports available at the premises to be decorated includes an elongated strap that is flexible for winding around the respective cylindrical support, and a fixture secured to one end of the strap and carrying a hook-shaped formation for suspending the decorative item therefrom. The strap has a series of ratchet-type teeth on one of its major surfaces, and the fixture has an aperture for the passage of the strap therethrough after having been wound around the cylindrical support. The fixture also includes a pawl-type holding member mounted thereon for pivoting between an engaging position in which it engages at the aperture behind one of the teeth of the strap, and a releasing position in which it frees the strap for unimpeded passage through the aperture.
