A method for making a flashlight housing comprises providing a blank of an electrically conductive material, impact extruding the blank of electrically conductive material to form an elongated hollow member that has an internal cavity open at a first end and that has a reduced inner diameter portion proximate a second end thereof, and coating the elongated hollow member with a coating material. The flashlight housing may have a tail cap, and may have O-rings for sealing at the rearward end of the tail cap, at the forward end of the housing, and/or at the interface between the housing and the tail cap.

Stylus flashlight housing and method for making same

A method for making a flashlight housing comprises providing a blank of an electrically conductive material, impact extruding the blank of electrically conductive material to form an elongated hollow member that has an internal cavity open at a first end and that has a reduced inner diameter portion proximate a second end thereof, and coating the elongated hollow member with a coating material. The flashlight housing may have a tail cap, and may have O-rings for sealing at the rearward end of the tail cap, at the forward end of the housing, and at the interface between the housing and the tail cap.

A flashlight with a rotatable lamp head is provided. The lamp head pivots about two cylindrical coaxial electrical connectors. The lamp head includes a reflector having a concave curved reflective surface and two lamp elements therein. A focusing ring on the lamp head moves the reflector in the lamp head for adjusting the focus of the light produced by the flashlight. The flashlight also includes a series of fluid-tight seals to insure that the flashlight is waterproof and a one-way flapper valve allows release of gases produced by the batteries and prevents fluid from entering the flashlight. A battery charger is also provided to recharge a battery pack for the flashlight.

A pocket-sized flashlight may comprise a hollow cylindrical housing, a solid state light source at a forward end thereof and a switch at a rearward end thereof. The switch selectively connects the solid state light source and two or more batteries, preferably size AAAA batteries, in the housing in circuit for causing the solid state light source to produce light. The pocket-sized flashlight preferably is a relatively long and slim flashlight, wherein its length is between about 12.6 times and about 17.4 times its diameter.

A flashlight mounting arrangement may comprise a flashlight body having a source of light therein, and a mounting saddle for detachably affixing the flashlight body on an object, the mounting saddle detachably engaging the flashlight body. Optionally, the flashlight may have a rotatable lamp head, and the lamp head may also include a reflector having one or more sources of light, e.g., an incandescent lamp and a light emitting diode, therein. Also optionally, a battery charger may be provided to recharge a battery for the flashlight.

Flashlight mounting arrangement

The spigot comprises a conduit that communicates with the interior of the container to which the spigot is attached. The conduit communicates with a valve body that comprises a chamber that includes an opening that is selectably opened and closed by a valve element. The valve element may be movable into and out of engagement with a valve seat formed around the opening. The valve element may be biased to the closed position by a spring such as an elastomeric diaphragm. The elastmeric diaphragm may seal the chamber and be exposed such that depressing the diaphragm moves the valve element from the normally closed position to an open position. The valve body may be disposed such that it extends from the first conduit at an angle. The opening in the valve body communicates with a second conduit that extends from the valve body to receive the flow of fluid.

An adjustable organizer system has a horizontal top rail with an upward facing top side. At least one vertical upright support has one or more contact surfaces carried on an upper end of the upright support. Each of the contact surfaces has at least a downward facing portion engaged with the top side of the top rail. The upright support is suspended from the top rail such that the one or more contact surfaces can move along the top rail while remaining in contact with the top side to selectively position the at least one vertical upright support laterally along the top rail.

A flashlight with a rotatable lamp head is provided. The lamp head pivots about two cylindrical coaxial electrical connectors. The lamp head also includes reflector having a major parabolic reflective surface and a minor reflective parabolic surface. The reflector is configured so that the minor reflective surface is nested within the major reflective surface. The flashlight also includes a series of fluid-tight seals to insure that the flashlight is waterproof. In addition, a flapper valve is provided to function as a one-way valve allowing the release of gases produced by the use of the batters, and preventing fluid from entering the flashlight. A battery charger is also provided to recharge a battery pack for the flashlight.

An electrical switch comprises a dielectric substrate and a deformable contact member overlying the dielectric substrate for contacting an electrical conductor on the dielectric substrate when deformed. The contact member is electrically connected to another electrical conductor on the dielectric substrate, and may have plural contact fingers. A mounting may be provided for mounting the switch using a fastener, a tie member or an adhesive member.

Pressure actuated electrical switch

An adjustable shelving system is disclosed wherein each support post includes a plurality of slots based vertically along the support post. The shelving system also includes one or more collars slidably received over the support post. The collars include cleats which are received in the slots to secure the collar in a vertical position. To disengage the collar or cleat of the collar from a slot, the collar is slid upwards thereby releasing the cleat of the collar from the slot then, upon rotation of the collar, the collar can be slid axially along the support post to a new, desired location. Then, with the cleat of the collar disposed slightly vertically above a new desired slot, the collar is rotated back so that the cleat is in alignment with the slot and then slid downward to engage the cleat in the new slot at the new, desired location. The collar either directly or indirectly supports a shelf. Thus, an adjustable shelving system is disclosed that requires no hand tools when adjusting the vertical position of the one or more shelves.

A light source assembly comprises a dielectric body having an exterior surface and a light source mounted coaxially proximate an end of the dielectric body. A first electrical lead of the light source provides an electrical lead at an end of the dielectric body distal the solid state light source and a second electrical lead thereof provides an electrical lead at the periphery of the dielectric body. A resilient member improves electrical contact of the second electrical lead at the periphery.

A modular corner shelving system has a plurality of panels arranged vertically stacked and spaced apart. Each panel has an upper surface, a pair of back edges, a back corner, at least one front edge, and a plurality of sockets. One of the sockets is a rear socket positioned near the back corner. Each socket defines a top receptacle accessible from the upper surface and a bottom receptacle accessible from beneath the panel. A plurality of elongate risers each have a lower end received in a top receptacle of one of the sockets of one panel and an upper end received in a bottom receptacle of a corresponding one of the sockets of an adjacently upward panel. The system can also have at least one turntable assembly positioned on one of the plurality of panels that is rotatable about a generally vertically oriented axis relative to the panel. Each rear socket can also be adapted to absorb forces applied thereat by permitting relative movement between a riser received therein and the respective panel.

A switch as for a flashlight selectively connects, for example, a solid state light source and a battery in the flashlight in circuit for causing the solid state light source to produce light. The switch comprises a pushbutton and a metal contact having a periphery that selectively contacts a housing, and a spring. Pressing the pushbutton moves the pushbutton and the metal contact to contact the housing. The metal contact may include a feature for centering the metal contact with respect to the pushbutton and thus with respect to the housing end. The switch may be disposed in a tail cap attached to a flashlight housing.
