A radio frequency identification (RFID) tag including a face stock layer, an antenna inlay beneath the face stock layer and comprising a radio frequency (RF) antenna and an integrated circuit (IC) chip, a spacer layer beneath the antenna inlay, and a metal ground plane. The antenna inlay may include a near-field communication (NFC) or high frequency (HF) antenna, and optionally may include an ultra-high frequency (UHF) antenna. The spacer may be made of a flexible polypropylene, and the metal ground plane may be made of aluminum.

On-metal RFID tag

Example embodiments relate to radio-frequency identification (RFID) tags for liquid monitoring. An example RFID tag includes an antenna configured to communicate with an RFID reader. The antenna includes a radiating plane. The antenna also includes a ground plane. The RFID tag is attachable to a container. A reactance associated with the antenna is modifiable based on a temperature and a volume of a liquid within the container and adjacent to the ground plane. The RFID tag also includes an integrated circuit that includes a memory. The integrated circuit is configured to modulate the antenna in response to an RFID signal from the RFID reader based on the reactance associated with the antenna.

Radio-frequency identification (RFID) tags for liquid monitoring

Described examples relate to a radio frequency identification (RFID) device configured to be coupled to a surface of an object. The RFID device may include a housing having a first casing and a second casing. The RFID device may also include an RFID tag disposed between the first casing and the second casing. The RFID tag may comprises an antenna and an integrated circuit coupled to the antenna. Further, the RFID device may include a first break-line defined in the first casing and extending between an inner edge and an outer edge of the first casing. The first casing may be breakable along the first break-line. In addition, the RFID device may include a second break-line defined in the second casing and extending between an inner edge and an outer edge of the second casing. The second casing may be breakable along the second break-line.

Identification devices

Described examples relate to a radio frequency identification (RFID) device configured to be detachably coupled to an object. The RFID device may include a first RFID tag comprising a first antenna, the first antenna comprising a first arcuate element and a second arcuate element, wherein the first accurate element and second arcuate element are arranged in a semicircle. The RFID device may also include a second RFID tag comprising a second antenna.
