The present disclosure pertains to systems and methods for delivering sensory stimulation to a subject for facilitating sleep onset. The system comprises one or more sensors for generating output signals indicating one or more physiological parameters of a subject; a sensory stimulator for delivering sensory stimulation to the subject; and one or more physical processors configured to: determine an initial state of the subject based on the output signals from the sensor, the initial state corresponding to at least one physiological parameter of the subject; determine one or more stimulation parameters of sensory stimulation to be delivered to the subject by the sensory stimulator based on the initial state of the subject; and cause the sensory stimulator to deliver the sensory stimulation to the subject based on the determined one or more stimulation parameters.

Systems and methods for delivering sensory stimulation to facilitate sleep onset

An electrode configured to provide electrical contact with the skin of a user and configured to be positioned on or near a mastoid region of the user is provided. The electrode comprises an electrically conductive contact configured to receive electrical signals from the skin of the user, and a skin coupler that couples the contact with the skin of the user. The skin coupler comprises an adhesive layer that adhesively engages the skin. The skin coupler also comprises a base region that surrounds the contact, and at least two extension regions that extend away from the base region.

The present disclosure pertains to an exhalation valve system () configured to control gas flow during exhalation of a subject (). In some embodiments, the system comprises one or more of a pressure generator (), a subject interface (), one or more sensors (), one or more processors (), electronic storage (), user interface (), and/or other components. The system is configured to adjust a rebreathing level of the subject based on detected occurrences of disordered breathing events. By rebreathing exhaled air (and/or other breathable gas) a subject may minimize and/or prevent central sleep apneas. The system monitors the breathing of the subject to detect occurrences of respiratory events related to central sleep apnea. The system monitors accumulated retrograde breathing and adjusts the volume of exhaled rebreathing and/or other system settings affecting the subject's breathing. Through these adjustments, the system may prevent and/or reduce respiratory events related to central sleep apnea.

System and method for controlling flow during exhalation in a respiratory support system

An interface appliance is configured to deliver a flow of fluid to the airway of a subject. The generation of the flow of fluid may be controlled to provide a therapeutic benefit to the subject. The interface appliance is configured to carry one or more sensors () configured to detect one or more parameters related to the flow of fluid on the subject. The one or more parameters may then be used to control the generation and/or delivery of the flow of fluid.

A glossoplasty implant tension relief system for treating an airway of a patient has a first portion configured to engage a mandible of the subject. The system also has a second portion configured to engage a tongue of the subject to retain at least a portion of the tongue. The system includes a connecting portion configured to connect the first portion and the second portion. The connecting portion is constructed and arranged to provide tension between the first portion and the second portion. The connecting portion includes an i) inelastic portion and ii) an elastic portion configured to provide elasticity between the first portion and the second portion.

Glossoplasty implant tension relief system

A patient interface device that includes a body portion comprising a pair of arms and a chin support. A first end portion of each arm in the pair of arms is coupled to an opposite end of the chin support. The chin support is adapted to be disposed under the mandible responsive to the patient interface device being donned by a user. At least one headgear attachment element is provided on each arm in the pair of arms. A circuit portion is provided at a second end portion of each arm in the pair of arm. A patient interface portion is coupled to the circuit portion.
