A heads-up display system for a vehicle includes a display area on a surface of the vehicle and an optical projection unit for projecting graphic elements to the display area. An electronic control unit is operatively connected for computer communication to the optical projection unit. The electronic control unit determines a perspective view of a real road scene from a user while the user views the real road scene through the display area based on a ride height of the vehicle and an eyepoint of the user. The electronic control unit identifies road features that are visible to the user in the perspective view of the real road scene and adjusts a virtual image having inclined content based on the road features so that the inclined content substantially matches the perspective of the real road scene. Further, the electronic control unit controls the optical projection unit to project the virtual image to the display area.

System and method to adjust inclined heads-up display perspective

A method and system for a vehicle wheel are provided. The vehicle wheel includes a circular hub, a concentric rim circumscribing the hub, a plurality of circumferentially spaced-apart spokes extending radially between the hub and rim, each pair of adjacent spokes having an opening therebetween extending at least partially between the rim and hub, and a shutter assembly coupled to the wheel, the shutter assembly including at least one shutter coupled to a closure mechanism that includes a biasing mechanism configured to bias the at least one shutter toward a first relatively open position when the wheel is rotated at less than a predetermined speed.

Method and apparatus for a passive vehicle wheel shutter system

A sunshade assembly wherein the sunshade is secured in a deployed position at a single location, and wherein when the sunshade is retracted, the field of view through the window is unobstructed by securing members or the like. More particularly, the sunshade assembly utilizes a recessed hook or hook retainer within a trim panel adjacent the window as an anchor point, while a handgrip secured to the window shade is configured to pivot into a position to permit a hook or hook retainer associated therewith to be inserted into the recessed anchor point.

Sunshade assembly for a vehicle

A sunshade for regulating the entry of light into the interior of a vehicle. The sunshade includes a wind-up mechanism engaging a primary sheet. A secondary sheet is secured to the primary sheet. The primary sheet has a first end remote from the wind-up mechanism, the first end having a surface with a light reflecting value (A). The primary sheet has a second end adjacent the wind-up mechanism, the second end having a surface with a light reflecting value (B) which is greater or lesser than the light reflecting value (A). The secondary sheet has a first side facing the first end of the primary sheet, the first side having a surface with a light reflecting value substantially equal to value (A). The second side of the secondary sheet faces the second end of the primary sheet and has a surface with a light reflecting value substantially equal to value (B).

Sunshade

A rear pillar of an automotive vehicle housing a power tailgate assembly and a garnish covering the rear pillar. The garnish includes an opening through which a tailgate rod extends and interconnects the power tailgate assembly and the tailgate of the automobile. A cover closes the opening and comprises an elongated body of a resilient material including an upper region having a passage sized to accommodate the tailgate rod and lower region having a 'T' shaped slot intersecting the passage.

A headrest assembly may include a first frame member operatively connected to a seat, a second frame member that is selectively movable with respect to the first frame member, and a locking mechanism for use in adjusting the first locking member between a first locked condition that prevents the second frame member from moving relative to the first frame member and a second adjustable condition that permits the second frame member to move relative to the first frame member.

Folding headrest

A tension compensation assembly for a mechanical control cable. The tension compensation device has a housing with opposing ends. First and second sections of the control cable pass through but are attached at each end of the housing such that the sheaths of each section are coupled to the housing and reciprocable cable coaxially disposed in each control cable section extend into the housing. The cables are attached to opposing ends of a reciprocably disposed capsule or spring caps generally enclosing a spring. In operation, the capsule moves slidably within the housing over a predetermined travel and tension for the cables. However, if an over-tension condition is experienced, the capsule may bottom out at an end of the housing and the spring will either compress or extend, depending upon its design, thus allowing the effective length of the control cable assembly to increase, thus preventing the stretching or breaking of the cables or damage to cable end fittings.

The jump seat may be quickly and easily reinstalled without the need for tools or additional assistance. Multiple jump seats may be arranged within a vehicle to provide a side by side seating arrangement.
