A positive air system, for a fluid jetting device that jets a fluid in a fluid droplet path prevents the ingress of dust and debris to the fluid jetting device and further prevents the introduction of dust and debris into the fluid droplet path. The air system includes an enclosure having at least one wall defining a barrier and enclosing the fluid jetting device. The barrier defines a local environment. The at least one wall has a plurality of orifices formed therein that are configured to direct a stream of pressurized air therefrom in a direction that diverges from the fluid droplet path. The fluid droplet path and the pressurized air stream direction do not converge so that the pressurized air flowing from the orifices does not interfere with the fluid moving through the droplet path.

Positive air system for inkjet print head

An impulse fluid jet apparatus having pulse generating circuitry for an impulse jet. The circuitry generates driving a longer pulse exciting the resonant frequency of the jet and a shorter pulse for exciting a higher harmonic frequency of the jet. The longer pulse changes the state of energization of the transducer in the jet to eject a droplet of fluid and the shorter pulse changes the state of energization so as to break off the tail of the droplet.

Method for increasing the throw distance and velocity for an impulse ink

To replace conventional ball-cage strips for remote controls in which push-pull blades slide on ball bearings maintained properly spaced from one another by such strips, a linkable ball-cage element has been developed to form strips of such linked elements that overcome limitations of prior ball-cage strips. Each element has a head and neck at one end and a cavity and narrow entrance at the opposite end so that the head of one element can be inserted into the cavity of another element. Each element holding a ball is thus linked with other elements to provide a very flexible strip of any desired length.
