An interactive system may be implemented in part by an audio device located within a user environment, which may accept speech commands from a user and may also interact with the user by means of generated speech. In order to improve performance of the interactive system, a user may use a separate device, such as a personal computer or mobile device, to access a graphical user interface that lists details of historical speech interactions. The graphical user interface may be configured to allow the user to provide feedback and/or corrections regarding the details of specific interactions.

User feedback for speech interactions

Architectures and techniques to visually indicate an operational state of an electronic device. In some instances, the electronic device comprises a voice-controlled device configured to interact with a user through voice input and visual output. The voice-controlled device may be positioned in a home environment, such as on a table in a room of the environment. The user may interact with the voice-controlled device through speech and the voice-controlled device may perform operations requested by the speech. As the voice-controlled device enters different operational states while interacting with the user, one or more lights of the voice-controlled device may be illuminated to indicate the different operational states.

Visual indication of an operational state

Users are allowed to communicate with a server via a local client even when the server experiences an abnormal peak of traffic. The local client is configured to send a new connection request only after a specified time interval passes from a previous connection. The local client presents content, such as a game, that makes it appear to the user as if the user is interacting with the server while the local client is waiting for reconnection to the server. The user interactions during the time interval are locally stored and later provided to the server for further process.

Disclosed are various embodiments for providing immersive multimedia views for items. A network page is generated that provides information regarding an item and includes code for rendering an immersive multimedia view for the item. A user interface presents a first one of a plurality of media objects associated with the item. The user interface includes a menu for selecting one of the media objects for presentation in the user interface and first set of media controls associated with the content form of the first one of the media objects. The user interface is updated to present a second one of the media objects having a different content form in response to a selection of the second one of the media objects in the menu. The first set of media controls is replaced with a second set of media controls that is associated with the different content form.
