Leak detection system and method of making and using the same

A leak detection system including a sensor having a first state having a first condition when dry and a second condition when wet, and a second state adapted to monitor the operability of the sensor; a communication device operatively connected to the sensor; and an attachment element adapted to attach the leak detection system to a fluid component for monitoring fluid leakage.

The present disclosure relates to a multilayer tube that may include an inner layer and an outer layer. The inner layer may include a fluoroether elastomer and the outer layer may include a non-fluoroether based elastomer. The multilayer tube may further include an adhesion force between the inner layer and the outer layer of at least about 1 ppi.

The present disclosure relates generally to flexible tubing, for example, suitable for use in peristaltic pumps. The present disclosure relates more particularly to flexible tubing having a stable flow rate despite being extruded from thermoplastic polymer and methods for making such tubing. In one aspect, at least 50% of the material volume of a flexible tubing of the disclosure is formed from a first polymer material that includes a continuous phase that includes polypropylene and a non-cross-linked styrene block copolymer elastomer miscible with the polypropylene, as well as, dispersed within the continuous phase (e.g., discontinuously dispersed within the continuous phase), a cross-linked rubber phase. The non-cross-linked styrene block copolymer elastomer is present in the first polymeric material in an amount in the range of 2 wt % to 15 wt %. In certain desirable embodiments of the flexible tubings described herein, the flexible tubing has a flow rate variation over the 480 hours of use of less than 20%.

Flexible tubing having a stable flow rate and methods for making and using it

A tube can include a sidewall defining a lumen profile. The sidewall can include a plurality of alternating thin regions and thick regions. The lumen profile can include a plurality of alternating large radius and small radius regions. The thin regions or large radius regions can include elastic instabilities adapted to form an essentially complete closure of the lumen profile at minimal compression.

A flexible tubing material includes a radiation crosslinked blend of a first elastomeric polymer including a styrenic thermoplastic elastomer, an ethylene vinyl acetate elastomer, a polylefin elastomer with a second elastomeric polymer including a polyolefin elastomer, a diene elastomer, or combination thereof, with the proviso that the first elastomeric polymer and the second elastomeric polymer are different. In an embodiment, a method of making a material includes providing the first elastomeric polymer, providing the second elastomeric polymer, blending the first elastomeric polymer and the second elastomeric polymer, extruding or injection molding the blend, and crosslinking the blend with radiation.

Flexible tubing material and method of forming the material

A flexible tube includes a first layer comprising a polyolefin material having a flexural modulus of not greater than 150 MPa and includes a second layer directly bonded to and in direct contact with the first layer. The second layer comprising a blend of propylenic polymer and styrenic block copolymer.

A composition includes a blend of (a) a multi-block copolymer including at least one block of an elastomeric polymer and at least one block of a first polymer including a chiral polymer having a stereo isomeric configuration; and (b) a second polymer including an anti-chiral polymer corresponding to the chiral polymer in (a), wherein the second polymer includes an opposite handed stereo isomeric configuration to the chiral polymer in (a); wherein the blend of the chiral polymer and the anti-chiral polymer form stereo complex sites.
