An externally-powered strapping tool that includes a strapping tool assembly configured to perform one or more strapping operations; and an external power source operatively coupled thereto, the external power source being attached to the strapping tool assembly in a substantially immovable manner. According to another aspect, a strapping tool assembly includes one or more strapping tool subassemblies configured to perform one or more strapping operations; a power transfer subassembly operatively coupled to the one or more strapping tool subassemblies, the power transfer subassembly configured to transfer motive power from the external power source to the one or more strapping tool subassemblies; and the external power source including a power generation portion and a first handle portion extending from the power generation portion.

A strapping tool is disclosed herein. In one or more embodiments, the strapping tool includes a motive power source; and a tensioning assembly operatively coupled to the motive power source, the tensioning assembly including a cam member and at least one tensioning foot member, the cam member operatively coupling the at least one tensioning foot member to the motive power source, and the at least one tensioning foot member of the tensioning assembly configured to apply tension to a piece of strapping while being driven in an oscillatory manner by the motive power source. Also, in one or more embodiments, the strapping tool includes a jaw lifting assembly, the jaw lifting assembly configured to raise the at least one sealing jaw member out of a strapping pass line of the strapping tool so that the piece of strapping is capable of being inserted into the strapping tool.

A strapping tool and a pump used thereby are disclosed herein. The strapping tool includes a battery-powered motor; a hydraulic assembly operatively coupled to the battery-powered motor; and a sealing assembly, the sealing assembly comprising at least one crimping jaw member, the hydraulic assembly operatively coupling the at least one crimping jaw member to the battery-powered motor, and the at least one crimping jaw member of the sealing assembly configured to crimp or notch a strapping seal member so as to secure a piece of strapping around a package or bundle of items. The pump includes a pump rotor; and a plurality of balls displaced by the pump rotor, the plurality of balls configured to displace a fluid in the pump. The pump contains no linkage members and no piston.

A strapping tensioning and sealing tool is disclosed herein. In one or more embodiments, the strapping tensioning and sealing tool includes a tensioning assembly, the tensioning assembly configured to apply tension to a piece of strapping; and a sealing assembly, the sealing assembly comprising at least one cam member, at least one crimping jaw member, and a motive power source, the at least one cam member operatively coupling the at least one crimping jaw member to the motive power source, and the at least one crimping jaw member of the sealing assembly configured to crimp a strapping sealing member so as to secure the piece of strapping around a package or bundle of items.

Described in this application is a kit for adapting a paint brush having a handle opening. The kit includes a tool for improving the usefulness of the paint brush; a bushing receivable within the handle opening of the paint brush; a screw for passing through the tool and bushing and joining the tool to the paint brush; and a locking nut for securing the screw to the paint brush.

The module further includes a pair of chamber inlets and chamber outlets formed in the pump body, each associated with one of the pump chambers. Each of the pump chambers further includes a first portion having a generally spherical segment shape and a second portion integral with the first portion and having a generally conical shape, with the first and second portions in fluid communication with the chamber inlet and the chamber outlet. The second, conically shaped portion converges to the chamber outlet.
