A junction box assembly configured to shield the eyelet terminal includes a power distribution box and a bottom housing. A bottom housing is configured to mate with an undersurface of the power distribution box. The eyelet terminal is disposed within the bottom housing. A first connection housing is disposed in the bottom housing. The first connection housing is configured to house a first bus bar having a female connector. The first bus bar is electrically connected to the eyelet terminal. A second connection housing is disposed on an undersurface of the power distribution box. A second bus bar is mounted within an inner space of the power distribution box and a connecting portion of the second bus bar is disposed within the second connection housing. The first connection housing engages the second connection housing within the bottom housing so as provide a shielded.

A terminal connection assembly that provides battery power (also referred to as B+ power) to one more bus bar(s) in a power distribution device that is part of a vehicle electrical system, such as a power distribution box (PDB). The terminal connection assembly may include a post, a cylinder, annular contacts, and a retention feature and the terminal connection assembly is designed to improve the ease with which the power distribution device is assembled and/or serviced.

The electric junction box assembly includes a junction box having an outer wall and a bottom wall. The outer wall includes an outer opening for receiving the corrugated tube. The junction box includes a plurality of inner walls. Each of the inner walls is spaced apart from each other so as to form an inner chamber and each inner wall further including an inner opening configured to receive the corrugated tube. Each inner chamber includes a drain hole so as to allow fluids to escape and prevent the electric components from being damaged by water or humidity.

A fuse and relay block assembly () for an automotive vehicle includes a lower cover () and an upper cover () mounted in substantially opposed relationship to one another. A relay block () is mounted between the lower cover () and the upper cover () and can receive electrical devices (R, F) mounted along a mounting direction (MD). A relay module assembly () is mounted between the lower cover () and the upper cover () and can receive electrical devices (R, F) mounted along a transverse direction (TD) substantially perpendicular to the mounting direction (MD). Thus, a greater density of electrical devices (R, F) can be mounted within a smaller footprint.

A connector apparatus position assurance device ensures that a male connector assembly and a female connector assembly of an in-line sealed electrical connector apparatus of the present invention remain engaged. The connector apparatus position assurance device has contiguous parts that engage various parts of a retention clip of the male connector assembly at different levels of insertion of the connector apparatus position assurance device into the male connector assembly. The insertion of the connector apparatus position assurance device is also accomplished at various stages (i.e., from pre-lock position to final lock position) depending on the insertion level of the female connector assembly into the male connector assembly. Consequently, the effect of the level of insertion of the female connector assembly ensures that the male and female connector assemblies remain engaged.

A junction box assembly for a vehicle having a junction box, a positive conductive terminal, a bus bar and a conductive jump-start terminal that are coupled to a battery cable in a manner wherein high-current electrical energy does not flow though the junction box during a jump-start event. The jump-start terminal is configured with a blade portion that provides the user of the vehicle with a convenient point to which the positive lead of a jumper cable may be attached during jump-starting operations.

An improved junction box assembly having a shroud and a junction box. The junction box assembly includes a plurality of tapered alignment tabs which permit the shroud and the junction box to be highly skewed to each other during the initial phases of their assembly. The junction box includes cue members for providing a visual indication that the contacts that extend from the junction box have been engaged in a reliable manner to the contacts in the wire harnesses that are coupled to the shroud. A clip structure is provided to permit an electrical component, such as a terminal fuse, to be loosely coupled to the terminals of the junction box prior to the assembly of the junction box to the shroud. The junction box is configured with a plurality of abutting walls that are located proximate the terminals wherein the abutting walls inhibit relative rotation between the junction box and a terminal connector of the cable.

An electrical junction box cover assembly for a motor vehicle includes a mounting cover and a junction box at least partially disposed in the mounting cover. The electrical junction box cover assembly also includes a connector connected to the junction box and having at least one wire extending therefrom out of the mounting cover. The electrical junction box cover assembly includes a top cover connected to the mounting cover with the at least one wire extending therebetween. The electrical junction box cover assembly further includes at least one clip extending from either one of the mounting cover and the junction box past an outer surface of the mounting cover to retain the at least one wire in a predetermined position relative thereto.

A vehicle electrical system having an electrical junction box, a cover assembly for covering the electrical junction box. The electrical junction box includes a first junction box portion having a first set of electric terminals and a second junction box portion having a second set of electric terminals. The cover assembly includes first and second cover portions. The first cover portion is configured to cover the first junction box portion and includes a first top surface, a plurality of first sidewalls coupled to the first top surface and extending downwardly therefrom, and a water channeling groove formed into the first top surface and spaced apart from at least one of the first sidewalls. The second cover portion is configured to cover the second junction box portion and includes a second top surface, a plurality of second sidewalls coupled to the second top surface and extending downwardly therefrom and a lip member coupled to the second top surface and extending outwardly from at least one of the second sidewalls. The lip member is configured to engage the water channeling groove to resist infiltration of water flowing across the first top surface and between the at least one first sidewall and the at least one second sidewall.
