The present disclosure provides an LED light bar that provides off axis lighting. The warning light system includes lights that do not need reflectors that rotate to provide good light effects.

Warning light arrangements; components; and, methods

A warning light assembly, components therefor and methods of assembly and use are described. The warning light assembly includes a moveable reflector light pod arrangement comprising at least one moveable reflector light pod having a selectively moveable reflector arrangement and a plurality of LED units configured and oriented to direct light against a selectively moveable reflector arrangement. A variety of specific, preferred, features are shown and described.

A signaling system for mounting to an exterior surface of an emergency vehicle is provided. The signaling system includes a light bar and a pair of mounting feet. The light bar can include a plurality of signaling devices supported on and distributed along a base member and enclosed by a cover. The light bar can be secured to the mounting feet via a plurality of fasteners. The mounting feet can be connected to the emergency vehicle via roof straps. Each mounting foot can include a base, which can have a support portion, a contoured portion, and a pair of compartments; a pair of seals associated with each compartment; a pair of covers, which can be translucent, removably mounted to the base to enclose the compartments; and a roof strap secured to the base. Each compartment can house a signaling device, such as a lamp assembly.

The present disclosure provides a lighting device that includes an array of LEDs arranged on a circuit board with a reflector that rotates relative to the LEDs to reflect the light in various directions. The reflector according to the present disclosure includes a compact construction that allows for effective light reflection. A related lighting system and method is also provided.

The swivel hinge includes a swivel element with apertures and a base element with a swivel shaft which is journaled for rotation within the apertures. The apertures include radially inwardly extending fingers which position the swivel shaft and are formed as molding gates for molding windows which are provided in common for initially molding the base element and the swivel member as a single integral piece. Subsequent rotation breaks the molding gates and the vestiges form the fingers.

Method for molding a swivel hinge

A fastener including a body and a looking pin is disclosed. The fastener body includes an apertured base and conjoined flexible arms extending from the base and defining a passage therebetween. The locking pin is arranged for movement relative to the fastener body along a predetermined path of travel and within the aperture and the passage defined by the flexible arms. The locking pin has a predriven position and an extended driven position. A resilient lock is provided in conjunction with the fastener body and resiliently extends into the predetermined path of travel of the pin, when said locking or drive pin is in the predriven position, thereby inhibiting movement of said locking pin toward said driven position. The lock remains in position to inhibit inadvertent linear shifting of the driving pin until the flexible arms are inserted through an opening in an article with which the fastener is arranged in operable association. When the flexible arms of the fastener are passed through the opening in the article, the lock is automatically deflected and removed from the path of travel of and permits the locking pin to be moved toward the driven position.

The device is a swivel clip or swivel prong with a relatively rotatable swivel and base elements. The swivel element rotates about a shaft which passes through an aperture in the base element. The swivel clip is initially formed in one piece by molding windows in an upper portion of the swivel element which are opposed to molding windows in a lower portion of the swivel element (that is, alternating around the periphery of the shaft). The windows meet in the base member, forming the swivel shaft, the swivel aperture and the internal gates as a single piece. Subsequently breaking the internal gates provides vestiges which support the swivel shaft within the aperture. Radially oriented upwardly extending inverted V-shaped support boss formed on the swivel and base elements position the swivel and base elements with respect to each other.

The clip of the present invention includes a plurality of internally threaded legs which form an aperture for receiving an externally threaded stud or similar structural device. A moveable circular collet is attached to a plunger and travels from a pre-driven position wherein the collet is substantially free from engagement with the internally threaded legs and allows for flexure of the internally threaded legs and a fully driven position wherein the collet engages the internally threaded legs in a locked position, inhibiting flexure and engaging the externally threaded stud.

The clip includes a body and a lid slidably mounted on tracks on the sides of the lid. A trough formed in the body receives a cylindrical item, such as a rod, pipe or conduit. The lid slides between an open or pre-driven position wherein the lid does not cover the trough, and a closed position wherein the lid covers the trough. The tracks are somewhat inclined with respect to the body so that the lid does not contact the rod in the trough until immediately prior to the closing of the lid. Sloped stop ramps on the body detent engage apertures in the lid in both the open position and the closed position. The underside of the body includes a second trough with a &ldquo;rabbit ear&rdquo; detent mechanism to engage a second cylindrical item, such as a rod, pipe or conduit.
