A positioning system for determining the location of a portable device includes a radio network. The radio network includes radio network nodes for communicating with the portable device and measuring signal strength from the portable device. The radio network also includes a Near Field Communication node for communicating with the portable device and at least initially providing the portable device with configuration information to enable the portable device to pair with the radio network nodes. The system also includes a positioning server for receiving signal strength information from the radio network, determining a location of the portable device, providing the portable device with a graphical representation of its location within a floorplan, receiving an indication of a desired product from the portable device, determining a location of the product, calculating and providing the portable device with a route from the location of the portable device to the product.

A system and method for tracking the identity and position of an object. The system includes at least one locator unit the is attached to the object to be tracked. The system also includes at least one display unit carried by or with a user. The locator unit obtains its satellite position data from a satellite positioning system such as GPS, GLONASS, GALILEO, or the like, or position data from a radio positioning system such as LORAN. The locator unit then measures local position data with one or more sensors such as accelerometers and compasses and augments the satellite position data with the local position data. The locator unit transmits the combined position data to a display unit. The display unit calculates its own position in the same way and outputs the combined position of the locator unit relative to the augmented position of the display unit via a user interface.

Coupon information is stored in a memory at a cable television station. The cable television station may simultaneously transmit multiple video signals, each representing different sources of television programming, over multiple television channels on the cable network. A subscriber unit at the television viewer's site receives the television signal and includes a teletext decoder that extracts the coupon information. The television programming aurally or visually alerts the viewer that a coupon may be generated. If the viewer actuates an input device, such as a button on a television remote control, a printer generates a coupon bearing the coupon information. The coupon may have an anti-counterfeiting stripe. The subscriber unit may keep track of the coupons printed and prevent the user from printing those coupons again.

A system for cleaning totes is disclosed in which each tote has a fill opening at its top and a dispensing valve, both of which are open to an interior chamber of the tote. The system includes a conveyor line having a receiving end and a discharge end and which is adapted to transport the totes from the receiving and to the discharge end. At a first station along the conveyor, the tote is initially drained of any remaining fluid within its interior and the tote is then moved to a second station. At the second station, a wash solution is cycled through the tote in order to clean the interior of the tote. The wash solution is recycled and appropriate fillers are used to remove the impurities from the wash solution. The tote then progressively moves through three rinse stations along the conveyor line in which each rinse station includes a lid attachable to the fill opening of the tote and which progressively rinses the interior of the tote. Thereafter, a dry station forces heated and filtered air through the interior of the tote thus completely drying the entire interior of the tote. Thereafter, a cleaned lid for the tote is replaced onto the fill opening together with the cleaned valve assembly and the now clean tote exits from the discharge end of the conveyor line.
