Embodiments are directed to a hybrid frame boat. The hybrid frame boat may include a cover and a drop-stitch port bladder, a drop-stitch starboard bladder, and a keel beam that may each couple to the cover. The cover may have an aft end portion, a forward end portion, a port side, a starboard side, a longitudinal length extending from the aft end portion to the forward end portion. The drop-stitch port bladder may extend along one or more portions of the port side of the cover. The drop-stitch starboard bladder may extend along one or more portions of the starboard side of the cover. The keel beam may extend along one or more portions of the longitudinal length of the cover between the drop-stitch port bladder and the drop-stitch starboard bladder.

Inflatable kayak

A stand-up paddle board and nosecap are disclosed. The stand-up paddle board is made using drop-stitching and in inflatable. The nosecap is made using injection molding techniques and is relatively rigid. The nosecap is attached to the stand-up paddle board and provides the board with a displacement hull to more easily move through the water.

A removable sail for a paddle-style boat, such as a kayak preferably takes the form of a fast deploying down-wind sail attachable to a deck of the kayak. The sail includes a curved, but non-circular shaped flexible material coupled to a collapsible, continuous frame member, for example the frame member may be sewn into a channel made by the material. When mounted to the deck of the boat, the sail may be arranged in a deployed or a stowed configuration, the latter being deployable on the fly in that the sail can be quickly sprung into the deployable configuration. The non-circular shape of the sail cooperates with a hull shape of the boat while providing a sufficient surface area for capturing wind energy. The sail may also include a transparent region that helps prevent excessive amounts of spray from striking the paddler and yet still provides an adequate viewing range.

An inflatable stand up paddleboard having a top surface for supporting a user and a bottom surface for residing on water. The inflatable stand up paddleboard being characterized as having a front end and back end and a longitudinal axis passing between the front and back ends. The inflatable stand up paddleboard is configured to receive at least one beam for stiffening the inflatable stand up paddleboard positioned substantially parallel to the longitudinal axis.

A hybrid inflatable kayak is configured to rival the handling and speed of skin-on-frame or hard-shell kayaks, while simplifying the assembly and disassembly process. The hybrid inflatable kayak includes an internal frame assembly that cooperates with inflatable bladders and inflatable thwarts giving the kayak an improved watershed capacity and also an improved combination of weight, stability, speed, structural strength, and portability. The internal frame assembly includes a bow rib, a stern rib, and a number of frame members that attach together and extend lengthwise from bow to stern. Front and rear thwarts are inflatable and urge against the frame members and side bladders to put the frame members in tension, make the outer cover sufficiently taut, and provide a faster and more structurally robust design.

A selectively inflatable kayak of the type having at least one elongated pneumatically inflatable peripheral tube which, when inflated, defines a passenger compartment and relatively narrow bow and stern sections. A flexible cover extends between and at least partially encases the at least one elongated pneumatically inflatable tube to provide a floor for the kayak. The flexible cover or separate bow and stern covers are provided for extending between the at least one elongated pneumatically inflatable flexible tube at bow and stern sections, respectively, the flexible cover or bow and stems covers being characterized as having narrow regions extending below and further defining the bow and stern regions of the kayak. Bow and stern pillows are provided which are sized to at least partially snuggly fit within the bow and stern sections, respectively, and are provided with stiffened ribs which extend within those narrow regions when the pillows are inserted.

Pressurized portable solar heated shower having a flexible shower bag with first and second closed chambers on opposite sides of a flexible membrane enclosed within a flexible outer bag. Water is introduced into the first chamber, and a foot operated pump is connected to the second chamber for pressurizing the second chamber with air to expel the water from the first chamber through a flexible hose and shower head. When not in use, the shower bag is emptied, and the entire device can be folded into a relatively small package which is easily carried by campers, backpackers, boaters, and the like.

Inflatable kayak having a pneumatically inflatable peripheral tube with elongated side sections which come together fore and aft to form a passenger compartment, a flexible cover encasing the tube and forming a shell against which the tube can be inflated to form a relatively rigid structure. A sheet of tarpaulin material extends across the bottom of the passenger compartment and along the lower and outer sides of the tube, and an inflatable floor cushion rests on the tarpaulin material in the passenger compartment. A seat is provided toward the rear of the passenger compartment, and a splash skirt attached to the cover extends across the passenger compartment between the side sections of the tube in front of the seat.

Self-inflating mattress for outdoor and camping use having a body chamber which contains open cell foam for supporting the body and legs of a person resting thereon, and air chambers positioned to the sides of the body chamber for cradling the person and preventing him from rolling off the mattress. The body chamber is reduced in width in the lower back region, and the air chambers extend into that region to provide additional lower back support.

A waterproof carrying bag having a flexible, liquid impervious body portion with an internal storage cavity and a substantially rigid neck portion having an inner surface defining an opening into the container. A closure seats on the neck portion, covering the opening. The closure has a sealing gasket which is compressed between the closure and the neck portion when the closure is seated on the neck, substantially preventing the passage of moisture between the closure and neck portion.
