Suspendable carrier for decorative lights

The present invention is a suspendable carrying device for decorative light strings wherein the light strings include a plurality of light bulbs connected to the others and each bulb has an enlarged portion of greater diameter than the neck portion. The carrying device comprises a body member having an elongated track extending through the body member where at least one expanded aperture is located along a length of the elongated track. The expanded aperture has a greater width than the elongated track which is sufficient to accommodate insertion of the enlarged portion of each light bulb therethrough. The elongated track has a width sufficient to accommodate the neck portion of each light bulb therein and prevent passage of the enlarged portion of each light bulb therethrough.

Suspendable carrying device for decorative lights

An improved weightlifting assist device is provided that includes a flexible fabric strap and a ring attached to a protective cushioning member or layer. The strap is attached to the cushioning member by stitching the strap to a point on the cushioning member between the ends of the cushioning member. The strap has its opposite end unattached so that it can be threaded through the ring and folded flat against the palm of the user. The free end of the strap can then be wrapped around a weightbars to assist in transferring of a weight to the forearm of a weightlifter, relieving the lifter's fingers of the majority of the load. The cushioning layer may be substantially wider than the fabric strap, so as to distribute the forces of the weightlifting activity over a larger area, reducing irritation that would be caused by the strap alone.

A quick disconnect coupling mechanism for a collet and collet tube facilitates connection and disconnection of the two members to and from one another. In a preferred form, the collet is provided with circumferentially spaced external threaded portions which are separated by unthreaded portions. The collet tube is provided with internally threaded, circumferentially spaced mating threaded portions which are separated by unthreaded portions. The collet tube can be quickly slipped over the collet, and located at a predetermined axial position thereon, and the two components can be rotated relative to one another to cause the threads to be moved into engagement with each other. The invention provides an indicator system for providing initial alignment of the collet tube with the collet. In a independently limits axial movement of the members relative to one another beyond a preset torque limit.
