Embodiments described herein provide a system for facilitating efficient troubleshooting for a product. During operation, the system can identify an artificial-intelligence- (AI-) based dialog model operating based on a structured representation, which can indicate sequential troubleshooting steps to be performed by a user. The system can provide a machine utterance of the dialog model corresponding to a troubleshooting step to the user. The system can then search the structured representation for a semantic match for a user utterance obtained in accordance with the dialog model from the user. If the semantic match indicates an anticipated option associated with the machine utterance, the system can traverse a current branch of the structured representation using the dialog model based on the anticipated option. Otherwise, if the semantic match indicates an option on a different branch, the system can jump to the option on the different branch for subsequent traversal.

Method and system for facilitating an enhanced search-based interactive system

A vehicle control system executing a voice control system for facilitating voice-based dialog with a driver to enable the driver or autonomous vehicle to control certain operational aspects of an autonomous vehicle is provided. Using environmental and sensor input, the vehicle control system can select optimal routes for operating the vehicle in an autonomous mode or choose a preferred operational mode. Occupants of the autonomous vehicle can change a destination, route or driving mode by engaging with the vehicle control system in a dialog enabled by the voice control system.

A mobile device comprising at least one computer-readable storage medium configured to store user profile information of a user of the mobile device; and at least one processor, coupled to the at least one computer-readable storage medium, configured to perform an act of: providing a second device, which is configured to execute a first virtual assistant, with access to at least some of the user profile information so that the first virtual assistant is able to customize, based on the at least some user profile information, its behavior when interacting with the user.
