Circuits for monitoring a socket are disclosed, including a circuit comprising a first node arranged to be electrically connected to a first pole of an electrical plug when the electrical plug is inserted into a corresponding socket, a second node arranged to be connected to a first voltage, wherein the first node is arranged to be connected to the first pole when the electrical plug is inserted into the socket, a variable resistance connected between the first node and a third node, wherein the third node is arranged to receive a second voltage, detection circuit arranged to detect the presence of the electrical plug or moisture in the socket based on a voltage at the first node, and a control circuit arranged to control the variable resistance to a first resistance value and, in response to the detection circuit detecting the presence of the electrical plug or moisture in the socket when the variable resistance is at the first resistance value, to a second resistance value, whereby the detection circuit distinguishes between the electrical plug and moisture within the socket.

The present invention relates to a tower () configured to support a wind turbine (). The tower () comprises a mass assembly () suspended by suspension apparatus () from the tower () such that the mass assembly () is movable to and fro in relation to the tower. The tower () also comprises at least one coupling apparatus mechanically coupled to the mass assembly () and to the tower (), the coupling apparatus being operable to couple energy between the mass assembly and the tower as the mass assembly () moves to and fro.

The present invention relates to hand held tool monitoring apparatus (). The hand held tool monitoring apparatus () comprises a mount, which in use of the hand held tool monitoring apparatus forms part of a hand held tool (), and a monitoring component () configured to be releasably attached to the mount. The monitoring component () comprises an operative part of the hand held tool monitoring apparatus () and the hand held tool monitoring apparatus further comprises a vibration sensor and a timer. The vibration sensor is operable to sense vibration of the hand held tool () and to provide a vibration signal in response to sensed vibration when the monitoring component is attached to the mount. The timer is operative in dependence on the vibration signal to record a duration of vibration of the hand held tool ().
