A vehicle transmission system has a main drive clutch ( ) with a clutch-actuator ( ), a transmission ( ) with a gear-engaging mechanism ( ), a driver-operable gear-selector lever ( ), and an electronic control means ( ) to control the clutch-actuator ( ) and the gear-engaging mechanism ( ).
