The invention herein described is a tea brewer comprising a plurality of removable dispensers which are filled from a central brewing unit. The central brewing unit comprehends provisions for developing a tea extract or concentrate which is then contemporaneously mixed with a dilutant within one of the removable dispensers; the ratio of extract to dilutant being controlled to provide a potable mixture.

Dual tea brewer

A tea brewer which automatically inlets a proportion of dilute water and brewing water to a siphon system to brew an extract for blending with the diluting water. The tea brewer includes a hot water tank having a volume of heated water therein and a fill tube for receiving a volume of cold water at the bottom of the hot water tank commensurate with the amount of hot water required to be siphoned therefrom to brew the tea leaves and make the extract. A vent for the hot water tank is provided to ensure that the full amount of hot water is siphoned. A cold water inlet line to the hot water tank is vented whereby to prevent cold water from being siphoned back along the cold water inlet line during the end of the cycle. The tea brewer further includes a line restrictor for creating a venturi effect along the dilute water inlet line. A needle valve is maintained at a slight back pressure in order to prevent starving the cold water inlet line carrying the displacement volume of cold water to the hot water tank.

Tea brewer

A cantilevered instantaneous heating brewer for brewing beverages, such as coffee, wherein the heat transfer structure includes a heavy heat transfer mass. Cold water is supplied to the heat transfer mass to have heat transfer association therewith and thereby be heated to the desired brewing temperature. The mass is disposed in overlying relationship to a rear upright portion of the brewer housing so as to provide a stable arrangement of the brewer as against undesirable forward tipping. To further minimize the tendency for tipping of the cantilevered arrangement, the brewing cartridge normally carried on the front portion of the cantilevered head is made to be relatively lightweight. In the illustrated embodiment, the heat transfer structure includes a plurality of stacked relatively heavy massive elements with the stack being disposed at the rear of the head overlying the rear upright portion of the housing. The base of the housing may extend forwardly of the head so as to provide further stability in the brewer.

Cantilevered instantaneous heating brewer

A coffee brewing apparatus having a plurality of water heating devices connected in series for sequentially heating water to a beverage brewing temperature. Each of the devices is provided with a vent. The individual vents are brought to adjacent the brewing cartridge for discharging vented fluids thereinto during operation of the coffee brewer. The outlet of the water heating structure is connected to an inlet to the brewing cartridge and the vent conduits are connected adjacent the water delivery inlet. The vent conduit may be formed of synthetic resin. The vents may extend horizontally outwardly from the water heating devices and may extend vertically downwardly to the cartridge brewing chamber.

Dual vented brewer

Coffee brewer apparatus adapted for the selective brewing in a brewing cartridge of coffee from ground coffee charges either in loose form carried on a cup-shaped filter sheet, or in enclosed form carried in a filter bag. The brewer apparatus includes selectively mountable hot water delivery elements and an adaptor selectively disposable in the cartridge for use in combination with the delivery element adapted for brewing coffee with bagged charges. The brewing cartridge is selectively positionable on a mounting bracket. The mounting bracket may be retained to a support wall portion of the brewer by the selectively mounted water delivery element.

Coffee brewer apparatus

A beverage brewer wherein hot liquid is delivered from a heating tank to a brewing cartridge as a result of introduction of additional liquid into the heating tank from a suitable source. An aspirator is provided in combination with a spray device for preventing dripping of hot liquid from the apparatus as a result of the expansion of the newly introduced liquid resulting from the heating thereof in the heating tank. The aspirator is removably associated with a reservoir structure and the reservoir structure is removably carried on the removable cover of the heating tank. A transfer duct between the reservoir structure and spray device is removably connected to the aspirator and is displaceable from a position overlying the heating tank to laterally thereof for facilitated removal of portions of the apparatus upwardly from the tank.

Beverage brewer

A beverage brewing apparatus wherein a brewing cartridge is adjustably mounted in the apparatus for selectively positioning a portion thereof for holding a bagged charge of coffee in contact with a force distributing surface of a water supply delivery element. The structure provided for supporting the cartridge is arranged to support the cartridge at any one of a plurality of different levels to accommodate corresponding different size bags to have optimum association with the hot water delivery element. The supporting structure provides preselected discrete positioning of the cartridge and permits facilitated installation and removal of the cartridge in the servicing of the brewing apparatus.

Beverage brewer apparatus

A distributor for absorbing kinetic energy from a downwardly directed liquid stream and guiding the liquid stream therefrom in a distributed plurality of divergent paths to a subjacent receiver. The distributor is defined by a central transverse wall against which the liquid stream is impinged to absorb kinetic energy therefrom. An annular portion extends laterally outwardly from the periphery of the transverse wall and is provided with a plurality of upwardly opening grooves for guiding the liquid in a plurality of divergent streams from the transverse wall to the subjacent receiver. The annular portion may be a frustoconical wall and may include lands between the respective grooves. The distributor includes a mounting portion adapted to be connected in fluid conducting relationship to the end of a liquid supply conduit and includes structure for spacing the transverse wall a preselected distance from the outlet of the conduit.
