An agricultural device associated with reduced tillage techniques in a field includes a frame and a separator supported by the frame. The separator is configured to form a strip of exposed soil in residual plant matter in the field. A crimping device associated with the separator is configured to at least partially crush stems of residual plant matter while maintaining the strip.

A method includes receiving first data at a first I/O module from a second I/O module, where the first data defines a programmable device configuration. The method also includes configuring a programmable device in the first I/O module based on the first data, where the programmable device is associated with a first I/O channel of the first I/O module. The method further includes receiving second data at the first I/O module from the second I/O module, where the second data is associated with a second I/O channel of the second I/O module. In addition, the method includes synchronizing the first I/O channel with the second I/O channel based on the second data.

Apparatus and method for synchronizing dynamic process data across redundant input/output modules

A method includes receiving a first clock signal from a first clock source at a clock monitoring unit. The method also includes counting a first number of pulses in the first clock signal during a specified time period. The method further includes identifying a fault with the first clock source when the first number does not have an acceptable value. In addition, the method includes testing the clock monitoring unit by determining whether the clock monitoring unit identifies an artificial clock fault. The time period could be defined by receiving a second clock signal, counting a second number of pulses in the second clock signal, and signaling when the second number meets or exceeds a threshold value. In response to the identified fault with the first clock source, a second clock source could be used to provide a second clock signal.

The portable shelter comprises a canopy which is supported by opposing side support structures connected by a lateral support member and canopy support beams. A trailer wall hook is provided as a single unit that includes a U-shaped hook with a rounded or square base. The U-shaped hook includes an open eye-loop and j-hook support brackets. The open eye-loop is attached to the top front of the U-shaped hook and two smaller j-hooks are attached upside down on the rear of the U-shaped hook. The j-hooks provide for mounting the trailer wall hook on a cargo control or tie-down system on the inside wall of a trailer. An apparatus and method are disclosed for applying an agricultural material through a standing crop. The apparatus is capable of adjusting the height and width of the frame of the apparatus. A trailer is disclosed that is capable of adjusting trailer width to transport the apparatus.

An over-current electronic protection system includes a first solid state reversibly interruptible electronic switch including first output control logic and first controlled output channels controlled by the first control logic. The first output control logic reversibly interrupts power at any output channel when their current exceed limits. The system includes a second solid state reversibly interruptible electronic switch including second control logic and second controlled outputs. A power supply input of the second switch is coupled to one of the first controlled output channels to receive the power. The second controlled outputs provide power to loads under normal operating conditions and reversibly interrupt the power for second output channels when their current exceeds limits. A CPU having is coupled to the second output channels and external inputs of the second switches via an isolation device to provide a supervisory and monitoring function.
