The present invention relates to a motor-driven suction pump and a method for connecting such a pump. The suction pump has a pump unit for generating a negative pressure which is accommodated in a housing. Further, a terminal box is provided which can be connected to a power source via a connecting cable and has contact elements for supplying the pump unit with a power current. The contact elements are electrically conductively connected to the contact counter elements provided on the housing side and leading to the pump unit when the terminal box is coupled to the housing. In order to increase electrical safety, a sensor, an evaluation unit, and a switch are provided. The sensor is configured to check the coupling of the terminal box. The switch switches a power supply to at least one of the contact elements. The evaluation unit is data-based connected to the sensor and the switch such that the switch connects the contact element to the power current supply when a signal of the sensor confirming the coupling is present and disconnects the power current supply when a signal of the sensor confirming the coupling is absent. In the method according to the invention, at least one contact element which is switched off is first electrically connected to the counter contact element on the housing side, which is provided for supplying current to the pump unit. The power current is then applied to the contact element on the basis of a signal confirming the corresponding contacting.

Motor-driven medical suction pump and method for connecting such a suction pump to a power source

A suspension device for a drainage container has, on a first side, a first fastening unit for mounting and fastening the drainage container on the suspension device. On a second side, a second fastening unit is present for mounting and fastening the suspension device on a rail. The first fastening unit is arranged in a first fastening part, and the second fastening unit is arranged in a second fastening part. The suspension device further comprises a weighing part with a weighing element, wherein the weighing part is connected or can be connected to the first fastening part and to the second fastening part so as to measure, with the weighing element, a relative displacement, such that a filling quantity of the aspirated body fluid in the drainage container can be determined.

A drainage pump unit for aspirating body fluids by means of a suction pump has a suction pump arranged in a suction pump housing, wherein a fluid collection container can be secured releasably on the suction pump housing, and wherein a capacitive filling level sensor is arranged on the suction pump housing for detecting a filling level in the fluid collection container. The filling level sensor has at least two electrodes, which are arranged at a distance from each other and extend along a common path. A first of the electrodes is in one piece, and a second of the electrodes is segmented. This arrangement permits the production of inexpensive fluid collection containers while still ensuring a high degree of measurement accuracy.

Drainage pump unit

A drainage pump unit for aspirating body fluids comprises a suction pump housing and a suction pump arranged in the suction pump housing. A fluid collection container can be secured releasably on the suction pump housing. A flat band-shaped capacitive filling level sensor is arranged on the suction pump housing for the purpose of detecting a filling level in the fluid collection container. The drainage pump unit also comprises an elastically configured coupling element with a first surface and a second surface lying opposite the first surface, and the coupling element, in the secured state of the fluid collection container, bears with the first surface on the filling level sensor and with the second surface on an outer wall of the fluid collection container. By virtue of the elastically configured coupling element, this drainage pump unit permits a filling level measurement even in the case of low filling amounts.

A breastpump set for expressing human breastmilk comprises at least one breastshield () to be placed on a mother's breast with a coupling part () for connection to a milk collection container (), and a suction pump unit () with an electrically operated suction pump, wherein the breastshield is provided with a signal transmission and/or reception unit () for transmitting signals to the suction pump unit (), and the signal transmission unit comprises, for example, a programming device for manual or automatic programming of the suction pump unit. The breastpump set according to the invention make it easier for the mother to operate the pump and breastshield while expressing milk.
