A starting system for a manual only pull start internal combustion engine with a starting pulley, a pull cord wrapped around the starting pulley, a rotor selectively engageable with the starting pulley, and an ignition module located adjacent to rotor. The starting pulley has a pull cord groove with an enlarged diameter between about 2.5 to 3.4 inches. The ignition module is adapted to fire a spark plug of the engine with a timing retard of about 8 degrees at a speed of about 500 rpm of the rotor.

A pressure washer having a motor and a dispensing handle for dispensing a fluid. The handle has a frame and a portion of a control system having two controls connected to the frame. The two controls need to be actuated in order for the pressure washer to operate and, are suitably located on the frame such that a user can actuate both controls with a single hand while holding the frame with the same hand. The controls comprise a part of a pneumatic safety system extending between the handle and motor to prevent unintentional dispensing of fluid from the pressure washer. The control system for the pressure washer can be used to control a throttle on the motor.

The invention is directed to a cover assembly for the discharge opening of a lawn mower, which cover assembly serves the unique triple function of (i) mulching, (ii) side-discharging with a fail-safe anti-damage feature, and (iii) enabling the attachment needed for rear bagging to be mounted without removing the cover assembly. The cover assembly also includes transition means for dispersing the cuttings over a wide area as the cuttings are discharged from the discharge opening.
