A foolproof method of adding network-enabled energy control devices to a home energy device control network by associating an easy-to-remember catchphrase composed of ordinary words with a unique MAC address or EUI identifier of the network-enabled device. The device manufacturer associates a unique catchphrase with each device and stores the catchphrases and associated MAC addresses in a database along with the device information required to commission the device onto the user's network. When the user enters the catchphrase, the catchphrase is sent to the manufacturer's server for retrieving the MAC address and corresponding device information. When a valid catchphrase is entered and accepted, the device can be commissioned onto the user's network.

Method of enabling a foolproof home energy device control network including human language catchphrases

A lighting control system for a space equipped with lamps for illuminating the space comprises a power circuit for supplying power to the lamps, a controllable switch in the power circuit for turning the lamps on and off, an occupancy sensor for detecting motion within the space and generating a motion-detected control signal in response to the detection of such motion, and a timer for measuring a time-out interval following the generation of the motion-detected control signal by the occupancy sensor and producing a time-out control signal in response to completion of the measurement of the time-out interval. A processor receives the control signals from the occupancy sensor and the timer and produces a switch-off control signal for the controllable switch to turn the lamps off in response to the time-out control signal, modifies the time-out interval by a time-out offset value in response to preselected events, counts the number of times the switch-off control signal is produced, without the receipt of the motion-detected control signal, within a predetermined time following the end of the time-out interval, and decrements the time-out interval by the offset value in response to the count reaching a predetermined value.

Automatic timing adjustment system for occupancy sensors

A game feeder includes a feed container having a funnel shaped outlet immediately above a distributor mounted for rotation on the end of a motor shaft. When the motor runs, the plate spins and broadcasts feed around the feeder. The distributor includes an inlet having a member extending across the path of movement of feed from the container outlet toward the distributor. When the distributor turns, any trash extending down from the container outlet is cut or abraded by the spinning member. The distributor includes one or more outlets having a swinging gate providing a closure for the outlet in a stopped or resting condition of the motor and preventing movement of feed unless the motor is running. When the motor turns and the distributor spins, the gate opens by centrifugal force allowing feed to pass through the distributor outlet.

Game feeder and improved distributor

A game blind comprises upper and lower sections which telescope relative to one another between an expanded hunting position and a collapsed storage position. The hunter's compartment is elevated above ground level by a plurality of legs received in brackets. The legs are free from significant cross bracing thereby minimizing the cost of the blind and enhancing the ease of assembly and erection.
