A device for use during operation of a borehole survey probe or the like. The device is attachable to a flexible cable which in turn is connected to the survey probe, and the device includes an outer sealing or swab member and an interior valve. The valve and sealing member cooperate during pumping of the survey probe down through a conduit, and the valve opens during retrieval of the survey probe so that fluid in the conduit passes through the device as the survey probe is removed.

Pump down tool and check valve

A drilling fluid circulation system for containing drilling cuttings, gas and drilling fluid in a closed loop. The system includes a separator having two sealed compartments, one for settling out drilling cuttings and one for holding clean drilling fluid. A fine solids separator is provided between the two compartments, and a gas exhaust line for conducting gas released from the returning drilling fluid is provided to conduct the produced gas to a safe location away from the working area. A solids discharge device is provided for removing settled drilling cuttings.

Drilling fluid circulation system

A method for rotating hose movably supported by a plurality of carts in a mine, comprising attaching a means to the roof of the mine for lifting the hose, lifting the hose using reversible hoist means, the hose resting on a support means passing under said hose, said support means having incorporated therein means for rotating the hose before replacing on the cart.
