A driverless vehicle is provided with support wheels on one side and drive wheels on the opposite side. The drive wheels perform the dual function of supporting one side of the body and propelling the vehicle by frictional contact with a drive shaft. The drive wheels are coupled together for oscillation about a vertical axis and are biased to a drive position. The vehicle body is provided with a cam for causing accumulation upon contact with another vehicle.

Small lightweight driverless vehicle

A drive wheel for driverless vehicle has a tire portion. The tire portion has discrete recesses for enabling the tire portion to be frictionally driven by a drive shaft whose surface is wet or oily.

A turntable for driverless vehicles rides on a horizontally disposed circular rail and is pivotable about a vertical axis through an arc of 90.degree.. A vertical shaft is connected at its upper end to the table by way of a universal coupling. A motor is connected to the shaft to pivot the shaft. The turntable is particularly adapted for use at a T junction of a system having a closed loop.

Turntable for a system of driverless vehicles

A driverless vehicle having a plurality of shelves is provided with at least one trough supported by the shelves and separate therefrom. Each trough is open at the top and is open at each end thereof. A discrete puller member extends between side walls of the trough at each end thereof to facilitate pulling a trough and any merchandise therebetween toward one side of the vehicle to facilitate unloading the vehicle.

Shelf-type driverless vehicle

In a driverless vehicle conveyor system wherein a driverless vehicle rides on tracks, two straight sections of the tracks have adjacent ends spaced by a gap. A transfer vehicle is provided in the gap for supporting and transferring driverless vehicles across the gap. The transfer vehicles are mounted for oscillation about an upright axis from a receiving position adjacent one end of the gap to a discharge position adjacent the other end of the gap.

The apparatus includes a roller conveyor, a platform at one end of the conveyor, and a wheeled vehicle. The platform facilitates positioning the wheeled vehicle so that the bed thereon is aligned with a load support surface defined by rollers on the conveyor whereby the apparatus may be used for loading or unloading of trailer vans.

Material handling apparatus

A cutting board attachment is disclosed. The attachment has a plurality of cutting fulcrums which facilitate the ease with which a conventional knife may be used for cutting frozen foods and the like.
