A basic facial and body treatment cosmetic formulation is a combination of a cationic emulsifying agent, an oil soluble liquid polymer and a naturally occurring lactate buffer system. The basic formulation is a starter system that can be specialized to skin moisturizers, skin lighteners, skin pigmenting agents, sunscreens, antioxidants, line reducing products, wrinkle reducing products, anti-cellulite products, pharmaceuticals and the like.

Skin treatment systems

The present invention is a hollow body stringed musical instrument that utilizes a low mass, soundboard having a 12 to 25 foot radius dome configuration. The soundboard is made of a three ply torsion box design utilizing a honeycomb stiffening layer as the central core. Linear adjustable tuning braces are incorporated in the hollow body. The side and back of the instrument are also of a three ply construction having a polymer ir inorganic foam as the central layer. (Preferably this will be a closed cell foam.) The back also has a domed configuration with a 12 to 15 foot radius. All structural braces are eliminated from the interior of the instrument's body.

Tonally improved hollow body stringed instrument

The present invention is a hollow body stringed musical instrument that utilizes a low mass, soundboard having a 12 foot radius dome configuration. The soundboard is made of a three ply torsion box design utilizing a honeycomb substrate as the central core. Linear adjustable tuning braces are incorporated in the hollow body. The side and back of the instrument are also of a three ply construction having a closed cell, resilient polymer foam as the central layer. All structural braces are eliminated from the interior of the instrument's body.

A compound for reducing the incidence of pseudofolliculitis combines a mild skin astringent, an oil based epidermal softener, and a hair stiffener. One embodiment of the compound combines refined powdered oatmeal and emollient of the compound combines refined powdered oatmeal and emollient oil, such as mink oil and liquid vitamin A in a petroleum jelly base. The mixture is applied by being massaged into the skin prior to lathering and then again immediately after the rinsing of the face after shaving. Continual usage significantly reduces the eruption of pseudofolliculitis. The compound would also include Borage Oil and Evening Primrose Oil rich in Gamma Linolenic Acid (GLA).

Compound for the amelioration of pseudofolliculitis

New cosmetic compositions are disclosed that are effective both as moisturizers and skin sloughing agents. The compositions contain neutralized weak organic acids that when applied over time to the skin in appropriate formulations will gradually increase in acidity to pH 5.5 or less, for example about pH 4.5, without causing skin irritation while exhibiting increasing activity in skin renewal effects.

Skin tightening formulation and method for treating skin

A method and adhesive system for bonding at least two elastomeric substrates together. The method comprises subjecting the substrates to a priming treatment followed by applying to the primed substrates a heat-curable polyurethane adhesive composition comprising an isocyanate-terminated prepolymer and a polyhydroxide compound. Sunscreen preparation

A composition and process for cleaning an aluminum-containing article is disclosed. The process comprises contacting a debris-laden aluminum-containing article with a composition at conditions effective to do at least one of the following: (1) remove at least a portion of the debris from the aluminum-containing article and (2) condition at least a portion of the debris for removal from the aluminum-containing article. The composition comprises water; at least one polycarboxylic acid component selected from the group consisting of polycarboxylic acids, salts of polycarboxylic acids and mixtures thereof; at least one acidic component in an amount effective to increase the solubility of the polycarboxylic acid component in the composition; and at least one acid acting enzyme in an amount effective to at least facilitate the removal of debris from an aluminum-containing article contacted with the composition.

A composition and process for cleaning an aluminum-containing article is disclosed. The process comprises: contacting a debris-laden aluminum containing article with a composition at conditions effective to do at least one of the following: (1) remove at least a portion of the debris from the aluminum-containing article and (2) condition at least a portion of the debris for removal from the aluminum-containing article, the composition comprising water, at least one tartaric component selected from the group consisting of racemic tartaric acid, salts of racemic tartaric acid and mixtures thereof, at least one acidic component in an amount effective to increase the solubility of the tartaric component in the composition, and at least on surface active component; and

The topical application of stable emulsions utilizing an ammonium salt of a long chain fatty acid as an emulsifying agent therein, from which a water resistant, non-gummy, hygoscopic, flexible and pliable thin film of 2-hydroxyethyl methacrylate homopolymer is deposited on an epidermal surface. Special solvent combinations and emulsification techniques are described.

Skin treatment preparation

A skin protein precipitation potentiating lotion or cream utilizing aluminum acetate and the cationic surfactant salts of strong acids to promote the healing of damaged skin cells.
