Provided herein is a liquid-filled, non-reclosable tetrahedral or pillow-shaped packaging container having a longitudinal fin seal and a pair of transverse seals. In the case of tetrahedral packages, the transverse seals are perpendicular to one another. Also provided herein is an apparatus for the formation of such fin seals as part of a continuous packaging and filling operation. A third aspect of the apparatus of the present disclosure is the development of a heated jaw that exhibits consistent heating across the jaw face. Yet another feature of the apparatus of the present disclosure is provided in a modified, closed-loop electrical system for real-time monitoring and adjustment of the temperatures of the heated jaws, as they are moving.

This invention relates to a liquid-filled tetrahedral package having a longitudinal fin seal and having a first transverse seal on one end of the package and a second transverse seal on the opposite end of the package, wherein the first and second transverse seals are substantially perpendicular to one another.

An apparatus and method for creation of moire fabric by moving textile fabric over a member, with a longitudinal axis, having several areas of a lesser width or diameter along the longitudinal axis and several areas of a greater width or diameter along the longitudinal axis and sloped portions therebetween interconnecting the areas of greater width or diameter with the areas of lesser width or diameter. The areas of greater width or diameter on the member form lobes that retard the movement of filling yarns of the textile fabric by creating a longer path for the textile fabric to traverse thereby shifting the filling yarns while the areas of lesser width or diameter on the member form valleys that advance the movement of filling yarns of the textile fabric by creating a shorter path for the textile fabric to traverse. This shifting provides the proper filling pattern for the conventional moire fabric.

Method and apparatus to create an improved moire' fabric

An improved substrate splice for roofing and the associated method for the creation of an improved substrate splice. This can be achieved by taking a fiberglass scrim that has at least one layer of nonwoven fabric positioned adjacent thereto. Splicing involves overlapping this material and heating to a temperature of between 450.degree. and 1,000.degree. F. while applying 1 to 1,000 pounds per square inch. The preferred range of temperature is between 500.degree. to 700.degree. F. with 1 to 4 p.s.i. of pressure. Two layers of fiberglass backed thermoplastic tape is applied to each side of this splice. The tape is then heated to between 450.degree. and 1000.degree. F. while also applying pressure of 0 to 1,000 pounds per square inch. The preferred range of temperature is between 500.degree. to 700.degree. F. with 1 to 4 p.s.i. of pressure.

A pressure sensitive tape composed of a polyethylene base film; a continuous filament scrim fabric having a fiberglass fill yarn and a pressure sensitive adhesive applied to the film through the substrate.
