A method and system for auctioning or sales of deliverable items via the Internet permit customers to purchase or bid on items. Delivery of the item is first scheduled to a first bidder or purchaser and then in response to a second bidder or purchaser's bid or purchase, may be rescheduled for delivery to the second bidder or purchaser. A replacement item may be offered to a losing bidder and in the case of a purchase, may be automatically scheduled for delivery to a purchaser whose item has been re-scheduled for delivery to another.

A method and system for auctioning or sales of deliverable prepared food via the Internet permit customers to purchase or bid on prepared food items. A food preparation and delivery portion of the system includes a delivery vehicle, which may have a mobile kitchen for the preparation of food items en-route. The location of the delivery vehicle is determined from a global positioning system (GPS) receiver in the vehicle or via another location-finding mechanism. Food items with an estimated time of arrival (ETA) is displayed on a web page that provides an interface for purchase or bidding. Bidding may be made for the actual food item purchase or for a scheduled delivery time. Items may be re-auctioned, causing the delivery of a food item to be transferred to another bidder. Audio and/or visual communication with an ordering point and/or delivery vehicle may be provided in the user interface.

Method, system and computer product for auction of deliverable prepared food via the internet

A steering wheel movement detection device has a magnetic flux source and a magnetic sensor. The magnetic sensor is mounted on the steering column and the magnetic flux source is attached to the steering shaft or steering wheel and moves in accordance therewith. The magnetic flux source has lines or bands of varying magnetic flux. The magnetic sensing device is mounted adjacent and opposing the magnetic flux source so that when the steering wheel moves varying magnetic flux impinges upon the magnetic sensing device. The magnetic sensing device forms the inductive component of a resonant LC tank circuit and the frequency of that circuit varies in accordance with the flux impinging on the sensing device. A microcontroller integrates or averages the varying frequency signal over brief periods of time and when the average frequency does not have sufficient deviations an alarm signal is produced. A speaker is driven by the alarm signal to signal the driver to a state of alertness. A cruise control deactivation signal is also produced by the apparatus to disengage cruise control mode when driver alertness is in question.

Magnetic steering wheel movement sensing device

A motion detection system for detecting an object's movement through a threshold in a selected direction comprises first and second transmitters for producing respective broadcast signals across the threshold along respective transmission paths, a receiver circuitry operative in an absence of movement through the threshold to receive the broadcast signals and generate a receiver circuitry reference signal, and operative upon interruption of both broadcast signals within a selected period of time to generate receiver circuitry interrupted output corresponding to movement of the object, respectively, through first and second transmission paths. Processing circuitry monitors the receiver circuitry and operates upon detection of the receiver circuitry interrupted output to produce an event detection signal, and output circuitry responds to generate selected output, thereby indicating movement of the object through the threshold in one of two movement directions. A methodology of detecting object movement through a threshold is also provided.
