A door lock striker alignment check fixture includes a check fixture body having a tapered region engageable with a striker receiving slot of a door latch mechanism. The check fixture body defines an elongated slot for receiving a door striker. The door lock striker alignment check fixture further includes a flange fixedly attached to the check fixture body, and which is engageable with an exterior surface of a vehicle door coupled to the door latch mechanism. The flange includes a contact surface that contacts the exterior surface of the vehicle door and which faces an insertion direction of the tapered region with respect to the striker receiving slot.

Lock striker alignment check fixture

A vehicle door check link mechanism comprises a vehicle mounting member, a vehicle door mounting member, a link member and a latch member. The vehicle mounting member and vehicle door mounting member can be mounted to a vehicle and vehicle door, respectively. The link member can be pivotally coupled to the vehicle mounting member and slidably coupled to the vehicle door mounting member, or vice-versa, to pivot through a pivotal movement range. The latch and link members can prevent the latch member from moving from a latched position that retains the link member to a released position that releases the link member while the link member is disposed within a first pivotal movement range angle, and permit the latch member to move to the released position while the link member is disposed within a second pivotal movement range angle that does not overlap the first pivotal movement range angle.

Vehicle door check link mechanism

A vehicle door comprises an outer door panel, and inner door panel, and a reinforcement member. The outer door panel includes a pair of vertically extending free ends and a pair of horizontally extending free ends forming a peripheral edge portion. The inner door panel is rigidly attached to the peripheral edge portion of the outer door panel such that an internal door cavity is defined between the outer and inner door panels. The reinforcement member is disposed in the internal door cavity. The reinforcement member includes a first attachment portion rigidly attached to an inner surface of the outer door panel at a first location adjacent the peripheral edge portion of the outer door panel, and a second attachment portion rigidly attached to an inner surface of the inner door panel at a second location.

Vehicle door reinforcement

Door assemblies having magnetized bumpers for use with vehicles are disclosed. The door assemblies comprise a bumper assembly for use in a vehicle having a door that when fully opens contacts an adjacent body panel. The bumper assembly includes a bumper having a base and a distal end opposite the base. The base is configured for fixed attachment to the first exterior surface of a vehicle. The bumper is made of an elastomer and/or plastic and is configured for removable engagement with a second exterior surface. A magnet is provided with at least a portion of the magnet embedded in the body between the distal end and the base. The magnet is located within the bumper sufficiently close to the distal end to exert an attractive magnetic force sufficient to retain a door in contact with the bumper but without the magnet directly touching the door.
