According to one embodiment of the present invention, an integrated installation apparatus to receive an electronics rack in a data center method is provided having a mat comprising a hard material to protect a floor surface beneath the mat, wherein the mat has a key feature to couple to a key feature of an adjacent mat. The apparatus also has a guide coupled to the mat to receive a rolling member supporting the electronics rack and a weight distribution structure configured to distribute a weight from feet that support the electronics rack to the mat. The weight distribution structure includes a first pair of elongated members arranged to form an X-shaped structure.

Integrated rack installation apparatus and method

According to one embodiment of the present invention, an integrated installation apparatus to receive an electronics rack in a data center method is provided having a mat comprising a hard material to protect a floor surface beneath the mat, wherein the mat has a key feature to couple to a key feature of an adjacent mat. The apparatus also has a guide coupled to the mat to receive a rolling member supporting the electronics rack and a weight distribution structure configured to distribute a weight from feet that support the electronics rack to the mat.

A connector apparatus is provided which includes a connector and a mechanical connect-assist mechanism associated, at least in part, with the connector. The connector is configured to operatively plug into a socket structure, and the mechanical connect-assist mechanism includes a cam shaft rotatably coupled to the connector and a connect-assist element projecting from the rotatable cam shaft. The connect-assist element is configured to engage at least one element-receiving opening associated with the socket structure with insertion of the connector within the socket structure. Rotating of the rotatable cam shaft moves the connect-assist element within the at least one element-receiving opening to facilitate secure seating and retention of the connector within the socket structure. In one embodiment, the connect-assist element is a rod extending transverse through the rotatable cam shaft, and configured to engage first and second element-receiving openings associated with the socket structure on opposite sides of the connector.

A liquid cooled wheel system includes a wheel, an axle bolt arranged in mechanical and supportive communication with the wheel, the axle bolt defining an internal chamber configured to hold and transmit a working fluid, a pump arranged in fluid communication with the axle bolt through the working fluid and arranged in mechanical communication with the wheel such that rotational movement of the wheel is translated into internal pumping movement of the pump, and a heat exchanger in fluid communication with both of the axle bolt and the pump and configured to exchange heat from the working fluid to an external environment.

Liquid cooled caster and wheel systems

An apparatus and method to lift a carrier housing an object onto a secondary unit. The carrier is connected to the secondary unit, configured to rotate about an axis. A tether is provided with at least two branches on one end, and a single branch on a second end. The two branches are secured to the carrier in a spaced relationship, such that a pull of the single branch rotates the carrier about the axis and places the carrier on the base unit.

Apparatus and method for moving heavy equipment

According to one embodiment, an apparatus for tilting objects includes a lower portion which comprises at least one foot plate and at least three supporting walls. A height of the top of the lower portion is about the height of a supporting structure. The apparatus also includes an upper portion which comprises a substantially flat surface and at least one connector for coupling a node carrier to the upper portion. The upper portion is coupled to the lower portion, and the upper portion tilts relative to the lower portion between an angle about horizontal to an angle about vertical.

A connector assembly for a fluid cooling system for electronic components includes a first spray shield half having an open end and including a slot disposed in an outer surface of the first spray shield half. A sled is disposed at least partially in the slot and articulable therein. The sled has a ramp portion extending radially inwardly from a sled base. A male quick-release connector is disposed at least partially within the first spray shield half. A second spray shield half is insertable between the first spray shield half and the male quick-release connector. A female quick-release connector is disposed at least partially within the second spray shield half. The female quick-release includes a release feature, wherein articulation of the sled toward the female quick-release connector is capable of activating the release feature and disconnecting the male quick-release connector from the female quick-release connector.

Connector and spray shield assembly for liquid cooling of electronics

A connector assembly for a fluid cooling system for electronic components includes a first spray shield half having an open end and including a slot disposed in an outer surface of the first spray shield half. A sled is disposed at least partially in the slot and articuable therein. The sled has a ramp portion extending radially inwardly from a sled base. A male quick-release connector is disposed at least partially within the first spray shield half. A second spray shield half is insertable between the first spray shield half and the male quick-release connector. A female quick-release connector is disposed at least partially within the second spray shield half. The female quick-release includes a release feature, wherein articulation of the sled toward the female quick-release connector is capable of activating the release feature and disconnecting the male quick-release connector from the female quick-release connector.

An electrical connector includes a connector body having a first end and an opposite second end. The connector body is configured to receive and electrically connect with an electric module. An ejector lever is pivotally mounted to at least one of the first and second ends for releasable retention of the module. The ejector lever is configured with an aperture therethrough and a light pipe extends through the aperture for alignment with a fault indicator.
