An apparatus for the production of gasolines with a low sulphur content from a catalytic cracking gasoline, comprising a fractionation column () provided with a line () for introducing raw gasoline from a catalytic cracking step and comprising at least two lines, one () in the upper portion of the column for taking off a light cut, and the other () in the lower portion of the column for taking off the heavy cut; a zone () for hydrotreatment in the presence of hydrogen, comprising a catalytic bed, an inlet line () for the light gasoline cut to be treated, said line being connected either to the fractionation column (I), or to the zone () for treatment over a palladium catalyst, said hydrotreatment zone also comprising an outlet line () for hydrotreated effluent; a stripping zone () comprising a line for introducing light hydrotreated gasoline, a line () for evacuating HS and an outlet line () for stripped light gasoline; and said apparatus also comprising at least one of the following sweetening zones: a sweetening zone () located after the stripping zone, comprising a line for introducing the stripped light gasoline and a line () for supplying an oxidizing agent to said zone; a treatment zone () located after the hydrotreatment zone and comprising a line () for introducing the light gasoline cut from the fractionation column, an outlet line for the treated light gasoline cut, said zone also comprising at least one catalyst bed containing 0.1-1% of palladium deposited on a support, and said apparatus further comprising a line () for taking the stripped and sweetened light gasoline out of the apparatus, and connected either to the zone () or to the zone ().

Process and apparatus for the production of catalytic cracking gasoline with a low sulphur content

An apparatus for the purification of catalytic cracking gasolines containing dienic and/or acetylenic impurities, and mercaptans, said apparatus comprising at least one selective hydrogenation reactor containing at least one fixed catalyst bed, and having at least one line for introducing a feed, at least one effluent outlet line, and a line supplying hydrogen to the reactor, said reactor being followed by at least one stabilization drum connected to said effluent outlet line, the drum having at least one gas outlet line and at least one stabilized effluent outlet line, and said effluent passing into at least one sweetening reactor comprising at least one effluent inlet line and at least one effluent outlet line, said reactor having close thereto at least one oxidizing agent supply line, said apparatus also comprising at least one drum for degassing the effluent from the sweetening reactor said drum having at least one gas outlet line and at least one outlet line for dedienized, stabilized and sweetened gasoline.

Apparatus for purification of raw gasoline from catalytic cracking

A catalyst for selective hydrogenation of unsaturated diolefinic and styrenic compounds in gasolines without hydrogenating the aromatic and mono-olerinic compounds is described. It can also eliminate marcaptans when they are present in these gasolines. The catalyst comprises particulate support on which palladium is deposited, distributed at the periphery of the catalyst particles, and at least one metal selected from molybdenum and tungsten, in the form of at least one oxide.

Catalyst for treating gasoline cuts containing diolefins, styrenic compounds and possibly mercaptans

For transforming unsaturated diolefinic hydrocarbons to a &agr;-olefinic hydrocarbons at rates which are at least 1.5 times higher than the rate of hydrogenation of &agr;-olefinic hydrocarbons to saturated compounds, the catalyst contains palladium distributed at the periphery of particles (spherules or extrduates), and at least one element selected from tin and lead. A particulate selective hydrogenation catalyst for hydrogenating unsaturated diolefinic hydrocarbons to &agr;-olefinic hydrocarbons at rates which are at least 1.5 times higher than the rate of hydrogenation of &agr;-olefinic hydrocarbons to saturated compounds contains palladium distributed at the periphery of particles (spherules or extrudates), and at least one element selected from tin and lead. A process for processing a feedstock comprising a major amount of olefinic hydrocarbons having 4 carbon atoms per molecule, including isobutene as well as but-1-ene and but-2-enes, wherein the process comprises processing said feedstock in a distillation zone associated with a hydroisomerization reaction zone located at least partly external to the distillation zone, said processing comprising drawing at the height of a draw-off level of the distillation zone at least part of the liquid flowing in the distillation zone, passing said liquid into the external hydroisomerization reaction zone to form a hydroisomerized effluent, and reintroducing at least part of the effluent from said reaction zone reintroduced into the distillation zone at one or more reintroduction level(s), so as to ensure the continuity of the distillation.

Method for producing high purity isobutylene from a butane plus fraction containing isobutylene and butylene-1

A process and apparatus for treating raw gasoline from catalytic cracking to obtain gasoline with the qualities required for use as motor fuel comprises selective hydrogenation followed by stabilization and optional cooling of the effluent, then sweetening followed by degassing to obtain a dedienized, stabilized and sweetened gasoline. The hydrogenation catalyst preferably comprises 0.1-1% of palladium deposited on a support, sweetening is preferably carried out on a solid catalyst containing an aluminosilicate of an alkali metal (for example sodalite), a metal chelate and activated charcoal. The product from this process can be placed directly in the gasoline pool or, advantageously, fractionated to obtain one or more cuts which can be used as feeds for etherification.

Process for purification of raw gasoline from catalytic cracking

Device and application thereof for distributing a multiphase mixture having at least one gas phase including, e.g., hydrogen in part and at least one liquid phase, the mixture being in a downward flow through at least one bed of granular solids, the device including, at least one distributor plate located above one of the beds of granular solids at a distance 'd', and several mixing channels of the liquid and gas phases of the mixture. Each of the channels has at least one upper passage section and at least one lower passage section allowing communication between the mixture formed in the mixing channels with a bed of granular solids. The mixing channels are provided on at least part of their height with one or more lateral passage sections, the upper passage section allowing the majority of the gas phase of the mixture to pass and the lateral passage sections allowing passage of the liquid phase and/or at least part of the gas phase inside the mixing channels. The invention concerns a reactive distillation process comprising a distillation zone, associated with a reaction zone which is at least in part internal to said distillation zone and comprises at least one catalytic bed in which the feed is transformed in the presence of a catalyst and at least one gas stream containing hydrogen, characterized in that each catalytic bed in the internal portion of said reaction zone is traversed by said gas stream and liquid in ascending co-current mode. Hydrogenation process comprising a catalytic distillation zone

For the treatment of a feed comprising a major portion of olefinic hydrocarbons containing 4 carbon atoms per molecule, including isobutene, 1-butene and 2-butenes in a ratio which substantially corresponds to the thermodynamic equilibrium, in which the feed is treated in a distillation zone comprising a stripping zone and a rectification zone associated with at least one hydroisomerization reaction zone, the hydroisomerization reaction zone being at least partially internal to the distillation zone and comprising at least one catalytic bed, in which hydroisomerization of at least a portion of 1-butene is carried out in the presence of a hydroisomerization catalyst and at least one gas stream comprising hydrogen, such that an effluent rich in isobutene leaves the distillation zone overhead and an effluent rich in 2-butenes leaves the bottom, the process being characterized in that each catalytic bed in the internal portion of the hydroisomerization zone is traversed by an ascending co-current of the gas stream and liquid and is substantially out of contact with the distillation vapor.

Apparatus comprising a catalytic distillation zone comprising a reaction

A catalyst is described for selective gas phase hydrogenation of acetylenic compounds containing 2 or 3 carbon atoms to the corresponding ethylenic compounds. The catalyst, in the form of spherules or extrudates, comprises palladium, at least one metal from group IB, optionally at least one alkali or alkaline-earth metal, and alumina, in which at least 80% of the palladium and at least 80% of the element from group IB are present in a volume at the periphery of the catalyst defined between a spherical or cylindrical surface with radius r.sub.1 corresponding to the average radius of the spherules or extrudates of the catalyst and a spherical or cylindrical surface with radius r.sub.2 at least equal to 0.8 r.sub.1, the catalyst having a group IB metal/palladium ratio of 0.4 to 3 by weight. Further, it is advantageous for this catalyst that at least 30% of the metal particles contain both palladium and silver.

Selective hydrogenation catalyst and a process using that catalyst

Catalytic cracking gaseolines are treated by: (a) fractionating the raw gasoline cut into two cuts; (b) optional selective diene hydrodenation of the light cut, then mild hydrotreatment and stripping; (c) sweetening the light cut which is conducted before the mild hydrotreatment step by contact with a supported catalyst containing 0.1-1% by weight of palladium, or after the mild hydrotreatment step and which is then an extractive sweetening step, or with a catalyst having an alkaline base optionally incorporated and also an oxidizing agent. A process for treating a feedstock containing olefins of 6 carbon atoms per molecule, said olefins being either potentially etherifiable or (directly) etherifiable, wherein isomerization of a portion of the potentially etherifiable olefins is accomplished in part in an isomerization zone, in the presence of an isomerization catalyst that makes it possible to obtain an isomerization effluent which comprises in part etherifiable olefins, and in that, in part, etherification is carried out, in the presence of an etherification catalyst and at least one alcohol that has 1 to 4 carbon atoms per molecule, of a portion of etherifiable olefins that are contained in the feedstock, in a first etherification zone, and in part etherification is carried out of a portion of etherifiable olefins that are contained in said isomerization effluent, in a second etherification zone, in the presence of an etherification catalyst and at least one alcohol that has 1 to 4 carbon atoms per molecule, to optimize the production of ethers.
