A shaving razor handle with a handle casing and a handle interconnect member coupled to the handle casing. The handle interconnect member has a body with an arched profile. A projection extends from the body. The projection has a pair of side surfaces that taper from an enlarged distal end to a relatively smaller base forming a projected apex angle.

Shaving razors and shaving cartridges

A shaving blade unit with a housing having a top surface, a bottom surface, a front edge, a rear edge and a pair of side edges extending between the front edge and the rear edge. The housing has at least one blade disposed between the front edge and the rear edge. The at least one blade has a cutting edge and a blade axis. A first aperture and a second aperture extend into the housing from the top surface. The first and second apertures are positioned in back of the cutting edges in a direction perpendicular to the cutting edge. A pair of spaced apart clips each clip having a leg received within the corresponding aperture of the housing. The clips retain the at least one blade within the housing.

A shaving razor handle includes a handle casing, a handle interconnect member coupled to the handle casing, the handle interconnect member having a body, a projection extending from the body, the projection having an enlarged distal end and angled side surfaces extending from the distal end to a base, wherein the side surfaces taper from the distal end to the base, forming a projected apex angle of about 45 and 60 degrees. The projected apex angle is about 52 degrees. The body has an arched profile. The body is asymmetrically shaped or generally D-shaped. The body has two slots that extend through the body on opposite sides of the projection. The handle includes a spring-biased release button having a pair of pusher arms, wherein each slot receives a respective pusher arm. The handle includes a plunger extending through an opening defined by the body and extending through the projection.

A shaving blade unit with a housing having a top surface, a bottom surface, a front edge, a rear edge and a pair of side edges extending between the front edge and the rear edge. The housing has at least one blade disposed between the front edge and the rear edge. The at least one blade has a cutting edge and a blade axis. A first of aperture and a second aperture extend into the housing from the top surface. The first and second apertures are positioned in front of the cutting edge in a direction perpendicular to the cutting edge. A pair of spaced apart clips each having a leg that is received within the corresponding aperture of the housing. The clips retain the at least one blade within the housing.

A shaving razor includes a cartridge having a cartridge housing and a handle. The cartridge housing has a front edge, a rear edge and two side edges extending from the front edge to the rear edge. One or more shaving blades are located on the housing and between the front edge and the rear edge. A connecting member is connected to the cartridge housing and includes a deflectable element defining at least a portion of an opening extending through the connecting member. The handle includes a handle interconnect member that includes a protrusion having an enlarged distal end and angled side surfaces extending from the distal end to a base.

Shaving system

The invention features a razor for dispensing a fluid during shaving. The razor includes a razor cartridge that is engageable to a handle. The razor cartridge has a housing, a cartridge connecting structure attached to the housing; at least one blade positioned in the housing; and an aperture that extends from the rear surface to the front surface of the housing. The handle has a cavity for housing a fluid; a manually-actuated pump located along the length of the handle, and a fluid dispensing member having a channel in fluid communication with the pump and having an opening at a terminal end. The fluid dispensing member projects outwardly from the proximal end of the handle such that the terminal end extends to or adjacent to the aperture in the housing. Actuation of the pump displaces fluid from the cavity to or adjacent to the front surface of the housing.

A handle for a shaving razor includes a handle casing and an interconnect assembly disposed at an end of the handle casing. The interconnect assembly is configured to releasably connect a cartridge to the handle, and includes a release button comprising a button substrate and a flexible canopy extending outwardly from the button substrate toward the handle casing.

A storage device for a shaving razor replacement cartridge package, including a base member having at least one package-receiving storage region, and one or more covered packages that are each located in a respective storage region. The covered package contains a shaving cartridge including a plastic housing and a plurality of blades. The storage region preferably provides a retention force, e.g., by opposed members, to retain a respective package within the compartment with a retention force. The retention force is preferably determined so that is less than an opening force needed to initiate opening of a removable cover seated on the stored package. The storage device can include shaving razor engagement structure for carrying a razor generally aligned with the base member.

Storage device for shaving razor, cartridges, or other stored items

A storage device, e.g., for a shaving razor and replacement cartridges, including a base member having at least one storage compartment, and one or more sealed packages that are each located in a respective storage compartment. The sealed package contains a shaving cartridge including a plastic housing and a plurality of blades. Each compartment provides a retention force, e.g., by opposed members, to retain a respective package within the compartment with a retention force that is less than a peeling force needed to initiate peeling of a cover layer sealably connected to the stored package. The cover has shaving razor engagement structure for carrying a razor on an external surface of the cover.

A shaving system includes a replaceable shaving cartridge and a shaving razor handle. The replaceable shaving cartridge has a housing carrying blades, a guard, a cap, and a camming surface. The cartridge includes an interconnect member having a pivotal support structure that pivotally supports the housing and a base structure adapted to be removably and fixedly attached to the handle. A shaving razor handle has an elongated hand gripping structure and a cartridge support structure extending from an end of the hand gripping structure. The cartridge support structure has an extension with outer side surfaces that mate with inwardly directed surfaces of a recess on the cartridge and an end surface with an opening. The extension has an asymmetrical shape to ensure proper orientation. A spring-biased plunger is retained in the cartridge support structure and extends through the opening of the cartridge support structure.

Shaving system and method

A replaceable razor blade cartridge including a blade unit, and cartridge connecting structure for connecting the blade unit to handle connecting structure of a handle, the cartridge connecting structure having inwardly directed surfaces for mating with outwardly directed surfaces on the handle connecting structure, the blade unit being pivotally connected to the cartridge connecting structure, the cartridge connecting structure including a latching member that is movable to release the cartridge from the handle connecting structure prior to retraction of the cartridge connecting structure from the handle connecting structure.

Shaving system including handle and replaceable cartridges

A cartridge-connecting subassembly for a shaving razor handle including a cartridge connecting structure, a handle connecting structure, and a movable component within the cartridge connecting structure that interacts with a replaceable cartridge when it is connected. The cartridge connecting structure and handle connecting structure have outer side surfaces that mate with inwardly directed surfaces of the cartridge and handle so that the subassembly is substantially covered when it is mounted in the handle and a cartridge is connected. The subassembly has an assembly opening for receiving the movable component during assembly, a cartridge interaction opening through which the component is movable for interaction with the cartridge, and blocking structure that retains the movable component in the subassembly. The movable component is an ejector structure that is separate from the cartridge connecting structure. The subassembly is connected to the handle by staking. The handle has gripping pads with an elastomeric outer layer and an nonelastomeric support layer thereunder.
