A wall-plate system is disclosed. The wall-plate system may include a face plate, a back plate, electronic circuitry comprising an electrical port, a clip, and a conductor. The face plate may have a front, a back, and at least one outlet aperture. The back plate may abut the back of the face plate and have a wall extending rearward away from the face plate. The clip may connect to the face plate and extend rearward away from the back of the face plate. The clip may be positioned laterally inboard of the wall and resiliently deflect from a neutral position spaced from the wall to a deflected position in contact with the wall. The conductor may be sandwiched between the face plate and the back plate and extend to electrically connect the clip to the electronic circuitry.

Active cover plates

An active cover plate is disclosed. The active cover plate may include a face plate, a back plate; an electrical load, at least one clip may extend rearward from the face plate and a wall may extend rearward from the back plate, where the wall may cover at least a part of a rear of the clip, and an electrical connection may connect the electrical load to the clip.

Tubular metal articles such as pipe and cylinder liners are produced by centrifugal casting on a permanent metal mold coated by refractory glass on the active surface. A coating suspension mix is evenly distributed onto the mold to form a uniform layer of insulation on the surface of the mold. The material for the coating includes essentially a waterborne suspension mix of glass particles. The suspension is given time to dry on the surface of the mold. The glass particles dispersed in the suspension are both non-crystalline and nonporous. The glass particles in the suspension and forming the coating are not dissolved and do not chemically attract the polar water molecule or cause it to bond to the surface of glass in the suspension or to the mold active surface. Articles cast as such are smooth surfaced and require only limited machining. The coating provides thermal protection to the mold, but more importantly, the water in the suspension vaporizes quickly on a warm mold because the water is not attracted or bonded to the refractory glass particles.

A process for repairing one or more worn inlet ports on an interior or exterior surface of an extruder die wherein each inlet port provides an opening into an extrusion channel. The worn inlet port has a funnel shape and a diameter greater than that of the extrusion channel. The worn inlet port is repaired by placing a fused silicon oxide insert into one or more extrusion channels so that an external surface of the insert engages the interior surface of the extrusion channel, thereby forming a pocket around the insert between the circumference or perimeter of the worn inlet port and the external surface of the insert. The pocket is filled with molten metal, and the insert prevents the molten metal from entering the extrusion channel. When the molten metal hardens the inserts are removed. New inlet ports are thereby formed having the same diameter as the extrusion channels.

An advanced and versatile method for a RESPIRATORY BREATHING FILTER APPARATUS having an outer body that conforms to the natural formation of the human mouth and is engaged by the teeth without the use of hands. Primarily designed for use by users with respiratory ailments, (i.e., asthma, cystic fibrosis, emphysema, allergies related to respiratory problems) the apparatus can be used by users engaged in aerobic activities with safety and fewer body restrictions. The apparatus has an outer body and six removable parts. The first of these parts is a removable outer or macro-particle filter for removal of coarse foreign airborne particles from an incoming airstream. The second of the two filters is separate from the outer filter and is positioned inside the outer body. This second filter is designed to remove smaller or micro-particles from the incoming airstreams. This second filter is removable, which is a tremendous advantage from previously presented methods and systems. This second filter has the capacity to accept a medicament. The medicament is evaporatively added to the incoming airstream and provides added relief to the user having respiratory tract ailments. Following the second filter, is a sterile screen with dual probes capable of sensing body temperature, detect artial blood gases and respiration. A removable retaining ring maintains the second filter and the sterile screen. The retaining ring also secures two one-way valves simultaneously when placed in position. The two one-way valves open during exhalation and close during inhalation. Method of use is also disclosed.

A stand for plants such as potted plants which elevates the plant and pot from the floor. A base comprises frictional contact areas which contact a pot, or alternatively, a dish which may be used in conjunction with the base. The base allows the feet of differing and various configurations to be used in conjunction with the stand depending on the nature of the flooring surface. The stand may be used in conjunction with a dish having a wall and lugs which retain the stand within the dish. For added support, a second base may be used which is inserted into a void of a larger base.
