A metal anchor for mounting screws in thin wall boards made of plasterboard, pressed wood or similar building material includes a body (1) formed from a sheet metal plate and provided with semi circular retention ridges (2) projecting alternately to each side, which are matched in width and pitch to the thread shape of the screw (13) to be tightened such that the retention ridges (2) engage into the latter's thread grooves (19). The entire body (1) is formed of three sections, of which the first section (4), situated on the outer end, bears the retention ridges (2), the second section (5), situated in the middle, has two axially running outer bending ridges (7) and two inner bending ridges (8) which are mutually separated by slits (12) and can be bent off in opposing directions, and the third section (6), situated at the head end, is provided with semi circular guide shells (9) extending in opposed directions for inserting the screw (13.).

Metal dowel for anchorage in thin wall panels

A sheet-metal nut for blind fastening a screw in a hole of a carrier plate, the nut having a top plate bearing on an upper surface of the carrier plate having a hole therein and an aperture for the passage of the screw, a base plate having a threaded portion adapted to be inserted into the hole in the carrier plate located at a distance from the top plate and a plurality of connecting webs connecting the base plate to the top plate that fold outwardly in use. The nut is formed from a single piece of sheet metal, the connecting webs being integrally connected at one end to opposite sides of the base plate and at the other end to two top plate halves that lie adjacent each other in the same plane and form the top plate.

Sheet metal nut for blind fastening

An adjustable spacer made of plastic for securing two plate-shaped components together with variable spacing, including an anchoring part adapted to be inserted into and secured in a hole of first one of said components and having a cylindrical hollow shaft with a threaded portion on its internal surface and a spacing screw part having a threaded shaft that can be screwed into the hollow shaft of the anchoring part to adjust the spacing between the two parts. The spacing screw part has a supporting head on its upper end and on its lower end below the threaded shaft an expanding stem made up of a plurality of separate downwardly extending legs connected at their upper ends to the threaded shaft. A through-hole extends through the screw part that tapers in the expanding stem to a narrower hole for receipt of threaded member at least one axis-parallel rib is provided on the external surface of each leg. In addition, a plurality of axis parallel grooves are provided on the internal surface of the hollow shaft of the anchoring part below its threaded portion so that when a threaded member is screwed into the through-hole of the spacing screw part to secure the second plate component to the supporting head of the spacing screw part, the grooves will receive the ribs of the legs of the expanding stem in a positive locking manner.
